99 Taurus Radio Problem
The radio in my son's 99 Taurus quit working. It has no display or sound. This is a cassette with manual heat controls. We checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood. We replaced the radio with a used one from a junk yard, but had the same problem. Then we replaced the rear signal processor, but still had the same problem. Can anybody give us any advice on what to do next? Thanks for any help.

Re: 99 Taurus Radio Problem
Welcome to the forum!
When the parking or headlights are turned on do the buttons illuminate? I have the factory wiring diagrams for the 1998 model year which should be pretty similar to your 1999. If you would like me to send a PDF of the radio wiring your way, send me a Private Message with your e-mail address. Also, do you have a multimeter that you're comfortable using? I can give you some suggestions on things to check if so. -Rod |
