96 Taurus 3.0L, Power steering/Radio Problem
Ok, this is weird--when the transmission is in reverse, the power steering is intermitant. Also, when in reverse, the radio cuts out. Then when in Drive, the radio sometimes cuts out. What is happening? I read some one had a similar problem(s) with a 1997 Taurus.
They said a power steering (column) module was the fix. Anyone heard of this? Thanks masdawg1981 |

There have been many posts on this and other message boards with similar, seemingly unrelated problems. The usual fix is the Transmission Range Sensor mounted on the transmission. It is connected to the shifter and determines the selected transmission gear.
