95 Astro, no electric power.
My van had been sitting for a week or so in very cold temps and I ran the battery down to try to start. Hooked up to jump start and tried it a few times, letting the starter cool off between tries. Then, as the engine was turning over again, it just stopped. No power to gagues, no turn over, no radio. I still get the key in ignition buzzer but that is it! My question..... Is there a main fuse which could have been blown or do you think it is as simple as a loose battery connection? Not sure where to start looking for an issue. Please help!

Nope. won't even turn over, nothing electric works except key buzzer when I slip in the key. When I turn key to start, even that goes quiet. checked battery cables and have good contact and good ground.

have you checked the fusable links at the starter terminal? and the condition of the connection there too for that matter.

Re: 95 Astro, no electric power.
Well, it warmed out of the teens and I had put the battery on the charger. The thing started as though nothing was wrong. I hate intermittant problems! If anything changes, I will post and thanks for your suggestions!

Re: 95 Astro, no electric power.
Take the battery cables off of the battery, clean the terminals and battery connections so they shine. Reinstall them and make sure the battery cables are tight. If that doesn't fix it: Under the hood, behind the fuse panel, there are several red wires that the connections tend to corrode. Clean them also. Post your results.

Re: 95 Astro, no electric power.
Good answer, no, great answer. I took off the pos terminal and the threads were stripped. There was enough corrosion in there to just hold it so it would not move and felt tight. Replaced the bolt for the side terminal and now she starts without problems.
