99 Jimmy 4x4 problem
I just bought a 99 jimmy and the 4x4 doesn't work. All the switch lights flash on then off real quick when you turn the key on. Other than that none of the buttons even light up so i have know ideal if its in 4wd or 2wd or auto 4. Any ideas would be greatly appretiated. Thanks

Re: 99 Jimmy 4x4 problem
My 2000 had a similar problem. My switch would work when it felt like it. I tried a new switch first (didn't fix). I wound up replacing the TCM. The connection to the TCM can get corroded as well (worth checking).

Re: 99 Jimmy 4x4 problem
When you replaced the tccm did that do the trick? I just checked the tccm today and it looks clean no broken wires or corosion but i found one for sale for 60 bucks so i think ill by it just to give it a try.

Re: 99 Jimmy 4x4 problem
Yep, the new tccm solved the problem for me. I remember my connector being corroded and even had a wire that pulled out of the plug. But even after fixing up the plug the old tccm didn't work right. Good luck!
