Are some people for real?

I tripped over this auction during my eBay walk today:
http://cgi.ebay.at/Honda-S800-Coupe-...item5add936b6a

Unless I am missing something here the complete plastic kit from Fujimi or Tamiya costs 20 to 30 Euros, why would someone want to pay over 200 Euros for a resin copy with only the body and the clear parts?!
If anyone has an explanation I am really interested to know about it.

Sure for detailed complete kits with turned metal parts, PE details and decals, however this one is only a copy of the plastic body.

This is a coupe though - weren't the Fujimi & Tamiya kits only the open version?

This might be the case Fujimi and Tamiya made the open and hardtop versions.

Re: Are some people for real?

I've seen late bodied S13 (chuki) models go for ridiculous prices (before Aoshima's latest releases)

I don't think the price is all that bad, really. Consider the time it took to make the mold, the cost of material to make the mold and the part, make the buck for the vacuum formed "glass", packing supplies, and the fact that he'll probably sell about 7 of these in a year's time, I'd say it's well worth the money he's asking....or you could hold out for the plastic kit on ebay which will go for 5 times what he's asking for the body and glass...which are the only differences in the two kits.

The starting price was only 29 Euros. And he is selling these for 49,95 Euros on his own site.
I am only amazed that someone would pay this kind of money for it.
It is more expensive than some of the long out of production Joker or Scale Kraft kits, and these come with chassis, interior and wheels in the kit.
