Revell Honda NSX - My first WIP

I bought this kit from Sherriff's Model Shop in Sydney about a year ago. (I could have looked at models in that shop for at least a week! ) Anyway, I kept putting of starting this kit until now. Very good kit basically snap together and good detail. Only minor fit issue on the engine block, but these were covered by the other engine parts.

Here are the pictures and thanks for looking,

F.C

The Box:

Annoyingly, the road on the bottom of the box was squashed by QANTAS

This is a basic look at the full assembly that is snapped together:

Instead of using the boring and undersized stock wheels, I have just fliped them around and are using the inner wheels:

The engine was first, here are some of the problems with it:

The problems were all fixed with the intake, gearbox and pulleys:

And here is the painted and completed engine:

More progress will be added tommorow!

Engine looks great.
I didn't even realize there was a second version with the later wheels, which i btw like, but it's your model.
Can't really blame the airline for the squashed box. Those one part Revell boxes are quite flimsy.

Re: Revell Honda NSX - My first WIP

For a simplified snap-tite kit, that looks pretty good.

One thing, be careful with those tyres.
That shiny rubber does nasty things to plastic and paint if left in contact with them so be careful where/how you store them while you're building this..
As noted in another thread, you may want to add some sort of barrier between the tyre and the wheel otherwise, nasty things will happen in the future.

Actually, without meaning to sound like a fanboy, the Tamiya NSX is probably the kit to buy of this car.

This kit had been bought by the store from a collector so some of the parts had been boken off the parts trees - which meant, there was a big black scratch on the window. Suprisingly, I rubbed the window with the tyre and the paint came off - WEIRD
