Gas Gauge Problem?
Hi Everyone, Hope you Guys can help us. My wife owns a 1998 Chevy Cavalier, v6, 4-door Sedan. Heres the problem, The car keeps running out of Gas while its still showing an 1/8 of a Tank. Is this something that I can fix on my own, or do I have to take in for service. My mechanical abilities are limited. Its happened to the Cavalier twice... Chevy dealer wants $300 to fix.. Thanks, Rik

You could try getting another gauge cluster, or you could take apart the tank and put in a new sensor.
