Where to get a new winch line?
Anybody know a good place to buy a winch line. I broke mine and need a replacement. Oddly, none of the the on-line places that carry Warn winches seem to have the cables listed.
I'm thinking of the Masterpull, but with my body damage costs, I'm not sure if I'll have the extra $$$ for it. |

I have 100 ft you can have if you want to pay the shipping. I bought a peice of shit Chicago Electric winch from Harbor Freight and through everything away except the cable.

"Next attempt was putting the winch line underneath the truck and going for a backwards pull to get the truck over the tree roots. I started pulling, and felt a sharp tug, but was making progress on the roots. Then a snap, a loud noise and the truck dropped back down. The winch cable had moved into the corner of the two roller fairleads and snapped against the metal. " Brent |

Yes, Mr. Knowitall, I did read it read close enough. I was asking for more info on what actually happened to the winch line: did it snap cleanly? Did it unravel and then break in half? Etc. |
