Hesitation during slow accel. pls hlp!!

Hey folks,

I have a classic problem. When I accelerate slowly from a complete stop, my car seems to stall and hesitate and sometimes it really does!! This has always been a problem, doesn't matter if it's cold/warm.

Also I must honestly note this:
-needs new Oxy. sensor
-needs new coil and/or EIM

They will be themain causes of the stalling and gutsing up of the car which is why it hesitates so I would replace all that needs replacing and see if that helps.

Also it would be a good idea to replace the plugs and leads at the same time.

I found that when the oxy sensor went on the commodore it wouldnt run right and it was a real slug till I put a new sensor on it,replaced the coil packs and changed the leads and plugs.

Once done it ran like new. Just needed to have it retuned by the service department

If it needs a new o2 sensor and a new ICM, REPLACE them. That will more than likely fix your stalling problem.

my 3.1 has the same problem , but i never thought about the oxygen sensor. my check engine light isn't on and i was always under the assumption that the O2 sensor going bad would turn that on. false? I appreciate you guys that are willing to help me. I'm a backyard mechanic with no clue on these new engines problems.

if the problem continues check for a vacuum leak and check for it by the MAP sensor
