b/c you get to pick the gearing.

it's got everything to do with gearing and nothing to do with numbers.
get over it.
you're getting a tranny other than stock b/c the stock one doesn't have the right ratios to work the way you want.
all 5 spds are not geared the same.
that's why you could conceivably get different times from 2 different trannies on the same motor in the same car.
