lowridder11 - " I just think it (the W-8) is ugly. the M12 has style and HUGE air intakes!"
Both cars have their good styling points. I find it hard to believe you would think the W-8 is super ugly and the M-12 is stylish. Both cars are your typical exotic car styling. There was no ground breaking styling with ethier car. Both cars have serious mechanical and design issues. The qulaity of the M-12 from the factory was more along the lines of a Yugo then a Ferrari. Only mechanically skilled owners or owners with deep pockets have been able to keep W-8s or M-12s on the road. Both cars were developed on tiny budgets when compared to other vehicles. Considering the history of Vector, it is amazing they built any cars.
DMC12 - "Is $98,500 a good price for a Vector? Who makes the engine & are replacement parts readily available?"
$98,500 is fair market value for most Vectors right now. Vectors is great shape are around $130,000. Buyer beware that parts can be hard to get. The departure of David Kostca from Aqua Jet/Avtech Motors/Vector Supercars has given W-8 owners a chance to hire one of the key developers of the W-8. David knows these cars inside and out. Some owners have spent more on repair and up keep ont eh their W-8s then they paid for the car.
lowridder11 - "I saw a video on the internet of a w8 doin' almost 200 before it lifted of, landed on the rear and exploded. I saw it on Kaazza or morpheus or limewire a while ago. I downloaded it of there. I can't really put a link to that "
You must be mistaken. I know the ultimate Vector W-8 tracker and have followed W-8s for many years. I have interviewed Wiegert and met many key people with Vector. I have lists of current and past pwners. I know the history of most of the production cars and the company. Never have any of the W-8s or M-12s flipped. Until you find proof to back up your claim, I would say you are wrong.
