Welcome to AF. Many things can cause this, bad thermostat, bad radiator cap, partially clogged radiator, keep in mind the HT4100 was a troublesome engine from day one. Assume you mean coolant temp lite there is no fan lite as you stated. There is a way to do self diagnostcs thru the ac control head to see if there are any codes. 25year old car here, was the coolant ever flushed, any service records?
