. I think everyone needs to remember that a speed limit is not a recommended speed, but a limit, a maximum, and shouldn't be treated as a minimum like it so often is today. My uncle perished in the first rain of the season, as the oil deposited by a summer's worth of cars had floated to the surface and handling the car was impossible. Speed needs to be adjusted for conditions, even if you're the only driver on the road doing so.
