What's a JDM t25?
$425 for a t25? Wow... still very pricey.
Well glad he's refunding the money. You can't drop the psi below the wastegate spring. So if the spring is for 8, you can not get it below there. And it's very hard to find an internal spring smaller than 10.
I'll just keep my external WG. Was just trying to get around from tack welding the internal shut. JDM is the company that made the T25. They make other things like, strut bars, steering wheels, Downpipes and alot of other things. I bought it from the same place a friend of mine bought his T25. He said he has had no problems. The turbo was $375 really, but shipping made it up to $425.
I should of looked on ebay first cause there are some for $190, but I think thats alittle to cheap? PLus it has no brand name at all.

I think it's my fuel to tell ya the truth thats keeping me from getting boost. Even though the turbine wheel has that play, I didn't have any of these problems since I got the FMU on. When I took the FMU apart to put the hosebard on, there is a piece of plastic followed by piece of aluminium with a circle in the middle of it, all the same shape of the FMU. Then a little piston looking metal that goes in the middle of the FMU. My question is, is how is the vacumm working on the FMU if it is (what it looks to me) is being blocking by this round plastic and metal piece?
Plus the car dies like it's not getting fuel to the rail now. I can crank it going down the road and it dies like 5 to 10 minutes later.
Man IM sorry for wasting ur lives on this thread and please don't give up on me, Just tryin to figure this out. Maybe we will all learn something new.
But yes I think the FMU vacumm is being blocked keeping FMU from doing it's job.

The FMU is just a big diaphram. The vacuum pulls the diaphram up, while the piston keeps it closed.
If you were getting no fuel, the car wouldn't start at all.
Do you still have the AFPR hooked up? Do you have any idea what your fuel pressure is at idle and while boosting?

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge asap man. Also if you put the FMU back together wrong it could be part of the problem. I took mine apart and put it back together wrong and it messed my fuel presure up bad. I would bypass the FMU and see if the car runs, do not boost it but you can see if it drives without any problems. You could also pull off an intercooler pipe and crank it up to see if it idles. maybe the turbo is not letting the car get enough air to idle correctly

Ya I put the AFPR back on. I got the new t25 in yesterday, but it wouldn't bolt up the the manifold cause it's a t3 manifold. Why we had to make our own flange. But they let me exchange it for a t3/t4. But forgot to tell ya that before I took the old t25 off, it was making a loud whining sound.
I took the t25 apart today, and i can't get the turbine wheel nut off for nothing. Like they had the strongest man put it on. Just trying to see if something just needed tighten. But now that the compressure housing and exhaust housing is off, I can wiggle the wheels better and they have alot of play. Why I was thinking that the turbine nut is what keeps it from having play.

The turbine nut doesn't come off. Only the compressor nut comes off

Well, got new t3/t4 turbo in. Got it hooked up and still does the same thing. No boost. It's a really nice turbo though. But still can't get over 0psi. All started after the FMU install. All piping was checked and good. But like I said before it sounded like a hard push of air when it stoped getting boost like some of the piping was blown off.
Could it be my WG? Or just not enough fuel pressure? Ya I need a gauge, pay day is in 2 days.

Even with no FMU the car would still boost. You would hit fuel cut, but the turbo would still build boost. The air is leaking somewhere, whether it be from the piping, BOV, wastegate... something isn't connected properly. The wastegate is externally dumped correct? If it were stuck open you would hear the exhaust gases out of it.
Does the turbo have a built in wastegate?

Ya the new turbo has the internal. IM going to take the external off and take a look at it.

So you're running 2 wastegates? Unplug the externals vacuum source and hook it up to the internal and see what happens.

I took the internal off before I put the new turbo on. Just been running the external. But I have thought of taking the external off and trying the internal. Can't I just take the vac line off my WG without hooking up internal to see if i get boost?

Still no boost after i took off the WG vac. It has to be the BOV now if the BOV has a seal in it or something that blew, and it's the only thing left between my turbo and intake. Cause the push of air sound also sounded like when my buddy blew a seal off his air compresser.
Update:
I took the BOV off and I could blow air through it just with my mouth. Air is coming out right before the air release spot. Thats the only spot I can't take off cause I don't have a small enough wrench till tomm, but hopefully it,s just a seal. But does that sound like air is being pushed out from the BOV at all times?

K weirdest thing just happen. I took the car down the road to a friends and out of the blue the boost kicked in perfect. What I was doing was letting on letting off with the gas pedal and thats when it kicked in.
But now before I made it home I lost boost again. Something sticking?

Yup it was the WG. It was getting stuck leaving the top vac source that was suppost to be blocked by a disk inside left open. I'll never buy OBX again. Spent a few hundread more on a good brand Tial, will save me money in the long run.

A little confused on your post. Unless you have a boost controller, the top port on the external gates should be left open.

I was confused about it to. I even called OBX. But ya, I got it left open now. The guy said the type of OBX WG I have was put on a stop cause it had problems staying stuck open and catching fire, which mine did both. Thats why there only found on ebay and not from OBX themselves.
No warrenty for me though cause it didn't come from OBX. HMMM maybe it wasn't OBX at all. Damn u ebay.
