XP5 is front and centre on the subscriber's version of the latest EVO (186). Looks to be an amazing group test with the F1, Carrera GT, F40, F50, Murci SV, Zonda F, and a Noble. I might be stalking my mailman on Monday morning!

iPad version of Evo available from Wednesday. Not a big fan of seeing scans of current or available print. If things get scanned instead of sold, there won't be as many of these kind of articles. I've been subscribing to Evo since issue 01 and they've had some great articles over the years. Hopefully it will continue. I'll get off my soapbox now.

The XP story is one I am fond of.
I really like the thought process from the heavenly twins to the pre-series cars.
From styling to mechanical changes, could we list the changes from one iteration to the other, starting from the Clinic Model?

I think asking for a change by change account of the prototypes could well be a mammoth task as having spent many years working in the prototype environment the changes can be somewhat fast and furious and run into the hundreds.

Been meaning to find and scan these for years, Finally done it, taken by me at Silverstone in 1994. Of most interest is the pre production car (?) with its slight differences. Hope you enjoy them!

The pair with their backs to the camera are #003 and XP5. All other photos are of XP4 before it was painted Blue.

Did it have its tail lights changed and its nose changed to production car look, when it was painted, and when was that?

Well I was going to ask you - did you really take all those photos at the same event? I might have assumed that the changes to XP4 would have occurred prior to the production cars being built. Any chance your XP4 pics are from sometime in 1993 instead?
To answer your other questions - yes.
