Cartoonerz--luv how you "pose" your cars, great viewing angles.

lemorris--bet you can draw VW toons without even looking at the paper.

I was talking with an artist friend recently and he uses some basic pens to ink with so I bought a set so I'm scratchin out stuff to break them in.

Please please....anyone can post in this thread. I'd like to see it grow to 1000 pages. Just post your sketches....there is no bad. I'd love to see more...there's much to learn between the lines.

oh, Cartoonerz...that Impala (?) on the last page right side is one of the coolest lookin toons I've seen in a long time. I'd pay to see it worked up. Very nice.

As for the Impala, I might be re-drawing it. I'll make updates about it.

while I like the finished work too, this thread was for the sketches. You know...your rough stuff...pencil sketches, pen sketches. I hope it grows into a huge sketch resource. Many can benefit.

So please post up...skill level is of no consequence.

Nice stuff by all!

Now the pen work by rexsins-art and lemorris just floors me.
(The hot rod detailing is amazing.)

When I doodle with a pen it tends to turn into ink blobs.
I'm more secure with a pencil as I can lean on the eraser
when my doodle starts to get way out of wack.

My first bike and the Impala i'm working on for my next tooner.

thanks guys ,your cartoons from you all really inspire me ,drawings become a bit stale for me at the moment and seeing these toon sketches has given me a little spark so ive been getting some inspiration from you all and ive been going in a different direction for fun and trying some toony stuff thanks :)

^ Thanks! It's a small sketch on a 8x12" paper. If I like the final picture, I might actually redraw it on the bigger paper. :D

Nice detail work on the chopper.
I haven't drawn many myself as as I seem to screw
up the proportions of the lil' bits of detailing on a bike.

Got a "Fire Chicken" project in the works too, here's a few
early doodles. (Included whole page with what works and what didn't.)
Haven't found the "right" looking one yet, but a couple

Came acrosss a great TR7/TR8 article in July issue of "Classic Motorsports."

2 new sketches..I think I got influence by Blip and Lemorris on these ones..Sorry, but you guys are just too awesome, I admire your drawing..i think it shows..haha.
I've been working hard on websites lately, and I just got the new version of Cartoonerz up and running. Looking better than even and happy about it. I'll try to finish the impala and Mustang, then I'll try a bike and do another viewer's car, which is this one, a 70's Corvette, I think it's a 78 to be more accurate.

Those are fantastic--the second one has a great "action/motion" look to that viewing angle.

I got caught in a storm after work...while walking to my car. Wasent thinking that my sketch and tracing book were in my backpack..thankfully its all rippled to the side and they didnt get damaged too bad ! I made this one today, a Black hotrod truck from Foose I believe, thought it was cool. It got damaged a bit, but It's still in good condition to draw the lineart.

ngati : Cool looking stuff. You should get that Evo finished, shading looks good. I also like the angle you gave the r34 at the end.

Hey thanks Cartoonerz, yeah i'm pretty happy with that GTR but i'm having trouble with the Evo. I did that whilst standing in front of an evo, but i guess i'll search the net for a close enough angle.

Here's the next one after the Impala. It's the 25th anniversary corvette.
I think its gonna look good all tooned up :)
