Thanks Patty!

With our lil snow and ice storm had more time to doodle.

This first one should be of interest to Dom, shows that I really can doodle something besides Ford's. :iceslolan
Just a few classic GM muscle cars and one very "old" cruiser.

And back to my "normal" stuff including a first attempt at the 2010 Mustang on the top right.
(These haven't been cleaned up, you can still see most of the guidelines.)

A Christmas design that I never got around to finishing.

"Bout time I toss out some more doodles. First up is a bit of Pontiac fun...

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z130/Darkblip/Artwork/CAR-toons/File0179.jpg

This next set comes from the horrible memories as a high schooler back in the early 70's, when we tried to stuff a V8 engine into a lil Saab Sonett.
It is a tiny FWD sporty car.
Uhmm, it didn't work out well at all...(Three views of the Horror.)

And this last page has a random Javelin and some roughs on a new project for a t-shirt design
based on the FFR 33 Hot Rod kit.

Ok folks, new here. Just thought I would drop something in here to get me use to things. Here is an example what I might do when working out ideas. This was done on a tiny 4x6 Wacom I just purchased and it's been a blast!

Lovin' what you people are posting, keep up the good work.

Very cool, your tablet doodles look like they just fell out of an old pencil sketchbook.

My tablet work looks like it was done on a tablet (still fallback on scanning in pencil doodles).
What program(s) are you using for your roughs/thumbnails?

I set up a page in PS and sketch on layers above. It took a while to come up with the right brush setup that would emulate pencil. In addition to the tip shape, I set the opacity to 85% and the color to be around Pantone Cool (or warm) Grey 8, 9, 10

Would like to start getting comfortable in Painter, but have been away from Corel products for years.

Thanks for the information, do most of my digital doodling with ArtRage (bitmap) or Expression 3 (vector), but have been pointed to giving Painter a try.

The RS/SS Camie looks so cool in sketch form.
Nice work on the Rallye wheels.

You always seem to nail the right ellipse degrees with your wheels/tires.
I still struggle, and practice, to get 'em where I think they work right with the vehicle perspective.

Do you start with the wheels/tires and then drop in the body perspective or reverse and start with the body shape?
I'm still floppin' back and forth on how I start a design.

Been going thru a hot rod phase and here's a sample.
The top is full induction stacks/scoops doodles.

Bzuva--very nice toon doodle.

Lemorris--you've developed a wonderful style in making these CAR-icature toons.

Here's a sampling of my doodles from the last few weeks...
(A big mix of differing vehicle types, with a few less toony looking then normal for me.)

Unfortunately for me I usually give most of my art away, however I as of today came across this section of AF by accident when researching material/construction for a scale model I have rendered in prototype right now.

This is my first art post and all the great works of art in this thread makes me want to break out the rest of my art supplies and get back into it. This is the first drawing I have done in over 6 years.

Ahh, new inspiration...............(Mind you this is a scale model design of mine)

What kind of markers do you guys use to color your works? I was watching Overhaulin' and saw Chip do his usual work of art and was wondering what kind of markers he uses.

What do you guys recommend?

If you look carefully, Chip uses Prismacolor markers. they are expensive, but they are likely the best on the market.
