evo4 is the strongest, evo3 is just good on the uphill. 5 is probably the most usntable of all of them. to beat bunta 15 star, be fast at the stage or block him for a few seconds.

Five Unstable? You mean crappy handling or just the worse evo in the game? Whats so special about the EVOIV? Does it get a miss-firing system? You beat Bunta on Myogi or which stage? I heard Bunta LVL 15 is just impossible to beat on Downhill Akina. His time is like, unbelieveable.

duluth2006

EvoIV just has good handling and acceleration. EvoIII with ALS is fast off the line and are all just good uphill, like the Celica. When I say crappy handling I mean, unstable handling. At highspeeds or after taking turns at fast speeds the car is unstable and hard to control.

Akina 15 star bunta is not that bad since it changes to the snow at 11 stars. Hard bunta stages are definitely Shomaru, Tsuchizaka, Irohazka, and Akagi. He WAS impossible in version 2, the person who held the world record couldn't even beat the 30th star.

oh shit!!!! eh,
did you get the misfiring system??
well if you didnt you can only get on course A.
the character course, it sucks dat it only gets 2 upgrades but its worth it, da misfiring system is mad.
every one that doesnt know that at mah arcade they get shit scared coz they all lyke " oh shit! how did you get those flames comming out of your car?" and i'm all like " umm..its a secret" LOL!
keitaro. didnt you know that you need to have course A to get da misfiring system????.
well you do now

toyota_trueno_03

lyke all the A course cars with most of them get the special thing of the character
e.g course A trueno(takumi) special upgrade is the AE 101 engine
course A rx-7 FD3S(keisuk) large single turbine upgrade
course A levin AE86(wataru) supercharger
Course A EVO III )kyouichi misfiring system.

i played version 3 2day there was these stooges that was playing then they left, the dude that won didnt know he had an extra game...LOL!!!
so i played the stooge chose the EVO VII, its not bad, after the stooges left sum guy versed me wit a stock altezza on tsuchizaika, and i beat him, so anutha free game for me...yay!!!...the EVO VII wasnt bad on tsuchizaika, i lyked it, then mah stooge friend versed me on tsuchizaika wit his gay rx-8, i trailed for lyke 3 points of the way but i fuckt it when apart of the course starts to go downhill and it has turns where ya gots to lock it a fair amount of times, then i lost.
i think i might get an EVO III for version 3

Woo, I had two awesome battles yesterday. One against a Hachiroku and one against that damn DC2. I feel crappy. I lost to a DC2 with my 86 on Downhill Akina. I got over taken on the worse spot...that damn right left turn right before that last hairpin. Then against the hachi I got over taken on the long left turn right before that right before the finish. I gave him too much room on the inside!! I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO The whole way he passed me. It wasnt all super fast it was slow. Awesome battle though. My record on DH AK 3'11. Im hoping to get two seconds faster. When I get the money. EVOIV or EVOiii Here I come!

duluth2006

version 2 or version 3? if its version 2 you can block a dc2 in the begining... juts make sure you cut him off before the top end of second gear.

AkinaSpecialist

This was version three. This guy was amazing. I thought I had him whooped from the first turn. I was doing everything right until the five-hairpins of death. I exited tooo slow. I crapped up bad and he passed me. Version two=whack. No one should dare play that game with a DC2.

hey!!!
don't diss version 2, version 2 is sick!!!
but fuck yeah those dc2 piss me the fuck off i've got a cheap ass couzin wit a dc2, when ever he races he does akina downhill, and not even the 86 beats its fuckt up godly times.
maybe your just not skilled enough, i dont doubt you, its just that when you verse a dc2 in ver2 or ver3 skill doesnt count so much but strategy does, find its flawed levels and kick they fuckin asses!!!

duluth2006
08-26-2004, 07:05 AM
dc2 only has a few flawed levels... myogi, usui, and akagi wet. anything else, dc2 can beat the home course car or IS the home course car. it can beat an rx7 off the line on akagi, capp and trueno off the line on akina (if he doesn't cut him off with the trueno), and if the dc2 driver is good, its pointless to challenge him on stages like irohazaka and happougahara... strategy doesn't matter as much as the car but the car doesn't matter unless you have some skill.

I was saved so much frickin money yesterday. I went to the arcade with 5$. 1 dollar to get in, 75 cents to play Initial D. 50 cents to continue. I went to play pated 75 cents beat happo and stuff. 75+two continues=1.75, so far 2.75 spent. Turns went around. Payed another .75 and got another one to continue 4.00, then on my third turn around this guy wanted to race me. I was doin Tsuchisaka inbound, wooo. That was awesome beat him barely. Then this kid wanted to race me Iro. I raced him. Beat him. Then some guy with a R32 wanted to race me Shomaru. Beat him. Then this guy in a white Riced out FC3S wanted to race me on downhill akina. Wooo I smoked his ass! 3'10 baby. It was great. Then the kid challenged me again on Irohazaka. Beat him at the jumps I got further into the inside of the jump than he did and cut him off. Shomaru guy, he picked wet. And luckily enough he wasnt as well adepted to wet than I was. Both our times were worse but I still beat him. Went on Tsuchisaka against this kid named Chris. Got my ass beat haha. He took me outbound. I blow on outbound. Oh well. I got some many extra plays though. I wouldve had to bring 10.00 to play that much.

i'm managing to drift at Akina but its damn hard
Happogahara is god damn hard and those tight hairpins are annoying as hell i usually take em in 3rd

:D man you must not know how to drive, because I can smoke happo and all four of the races that are involved with my other card Nissan Skyline (BNR34) the slower of the two, so stop cryin and get to work and maybe you'll be able to get past happo:)

[QUOTE=duluth2006]dc2 only has a few flawed levels...

Man you are right in one respect, teh DC 2 takes a long time to get past usui races 3 and 4, but I have had this DC2 for about 1 1/2 months now and I've beaten all but those two levels and Iro 4 twice. so try to narrow your quote before you end up putting your foot in your mouth.

duluth2006
08-31-2004, 09:18 PM
uh... dc2 only does have a few flawed levels. it owns on everything past akagi (except for akagi wet) so let's see, 1 car is good at akagi downhill dry, uphill dry. its also good at akina downhill and uphill dry. it is the best rated car for akina wet, happougahara dry/wet, and irohazaka dry/wet when the rx7's only own one top course, akagi. sileighty owns normal. and myogi is the skylines. so let's see, dc2 is obviously does only have a few flawed levels.

Id like to see some actual solid proof on your evo times. I think that sounds a little hard. So yeah. Im not saying your lying. I just dont believe you. Havent played Initial D in a while. Got that EVO IV I wanted. I hate it. I cant get the feel for it. The 4WD system makes it handle completely diffrent from the FR 86 im use to. I should have spent that 1.75 on a Miata Roadster. Oh well.

I didn't like the Evo IV at first, but I love it now. It kinda oversteers a bit though.

09-02-2004, 10:32 PM
Yeah, it does! First turn on Akina Downhill was a nightmare. I lost to Takumi. How sad.. I really cant get use to it. And like I said, the 4wd system is different from the FR. Feinting barely helps. I dunno how to actually drive it. Any pointers?

kman10587
09-02-2004, 10:53 PM
Well, first things first, make sure you have the right Evo. The Evo 3, 4, and 5 are all a bit different. All of them are very good on Iro, with the Evo 4 being the best. The Evo 5 is the king of Tsuchizaka, but the Evo 4 isn't far behind. The Evos' main weaknesses are Akagi and Akina. The exception is the Evo 3, which is excellent on Akagi. The Evo 6 and 7 are pretty bad, I'd stay away from them.

duluth2006

AkinaSpecialist
09-05-2004, 12:53 AM
EVOIII Good at downhill Akina? I heard some guy talking about getting a 3'04' or something. Maybe hes just good. I dunno. But is that a good time for an EVO III on DH Akina?

Keitaro
09-05-2004, 09:28 AM
3' 04" is a VERY good time on Akina DH, even with an EVOIII or otherwise. That's more than 5 seconds faster than LOTS Bunta boss.

toyota_trueno_03
09-06-2004, 05:48 AM
yeah i guess its not bad, but i would lyke better tho'...lyke way better.
3 more wins to level 6...i'm so pumped, then 30 more wins after that

Dang. I hate this. I got a course car on DH Akina and I cant even make decent times. Im sitting here with a 3'11'--- people making out with the EVOIII at 3'04'---

Does anyone know the times for each Bunta Level? 1-5 im pretty sure is DH dry. 5-10 is downhill wet. 10-15 is downhill snow? What sthe fastest downhill dry time for bunta?

duluth2006
09-06-2004, 05:37 PM
akina goes up to 11 stars. its 11th star i believe is 3'02-3.
