Version 1, yes.. The king of cars are the RX-7 FD and AE86 Trueno.

But in Version 2, it is not. Version 2 cars have been balance. So there is no such thing as which car is the fastest. Each have their Pros and Cons.

nuh uh, in version two it means balanced as in you can beat the game with ALL teh cars not just the AE86 and FD...they still dominate. both the Type R and the new (even faster) Spirit R and AE86 still are the best. Everyone uses them and....its just gay =\ its possible to drift, if you watch, not even Takumi and Bunta drift =p and then you kinda kno its not meant to drift...

Yeah.. the Integra both old and new, FD Spirit R, AE 86 and FC. All these are the popular cars.

In Myogi, the best car to run is the R32 and R34.
Usui, Sileighty and S13.
Akina, Cappuchino and AE 86
Akagi, FDs and FCs.
The last 2 is the Integras.

i liked using my Silvia S15 even tho it was slow as all hell

it did get me some reasonable skills

and i beat some guys Evo 7 with my Evo 7 and mine had loads less points

i like but dont use the EG6 Si-R simply because its teh worst car in the game and its funny to beat people with it :tongue:

Usui is quite an easy track.
As long you don't screw up the 2 main cornerings.
When dry, the 2 corners can be run at 160++ and the other one is 170++
When Wet, just decrease by 10.

in version 1 u get all ur upgrades at 60,000 points
in version 2 u get all ur upgrades at 120,000 points

Ok guys...I have just started playing Initial D (Ver. 2) and I wanna know how the S2000 performs. Advantages / disadvantages?

I have heard that all the cars are equal in version 2; is this true?

If not, I might have to get another card with another car...it's just that I love the S2000 (the real thing) so I figured I'd be able to fulfill my wish :)

Anyways, if I upgrade my S2000 enough, shouldn't it be just as good as the other cars???

Although in Version 2, the cars are much more balance.. But there are 2 cars are still the better ones in the game.. It is the Honda Integra DC2 and Mazda FD RX-7 Spirit R. But the DC2 is consider the best.

For the S2000, it can run well with skills but I don't think it can go far.. Cause I have one when it was in Version 1. You still might give it a try. :smile:

Thanks for your reply...but...I did some more research and it seems to me like the FD is better than the DC...if you look at the internet rankings, all the high rankings go to people with FD's.

Well.. you got to try yourself.. I am not very sure cause I play the Jap Version.. Can't read jap though.. But all I know is that all the parts makes the car either go faster or slower. And the choice of rims affects a little on the handling.

as far as i know the more upgrades u get on ur car the better the handling/steering.....its a known fact......utha than the rims and muffler upgrade they help u with speed...dat bout it... i think :screwy: ...lol

e.g course A DC2 has only 3 upgrades (exhaust, wheels and hood) plus the the version 2 special upgrade: turbo.. then when u have to renew ur card go to course D(Wheels, Muffler, Rear Wing, Front Body Kit, Side Skirt, Rear Body Kit, Hood)....equal in handling/steering and speed is a good combination.

do sum research on the cars and make combinations so u get a good and equal on everything on ur choice of car.....make theories on how u can improve the attributes of the car u get.

Neh, not all parts improves the car. It may although increase one factor, it might decrease the other factor. That's what I think though. So it is your choice to choose your combinations of parts for your car.

the only thing i noticed in my R34 was that the top speed increased, not the acceleration(spelling?). well after the whole rim, muffler, spoiler upgrade.

one question, i saw this guy with an S2000. when he finished, he had close to 6 million or somethin pts. so i thought the whole upgrading was done, but instead, the machine asked if he wanted to install this new muffler or somethin like that. when does that happen?

wheels dont do "shit", exhuast does not effect the car by more than a second, and the engine upgrade doesnt happen till 60k, and it doesnt help unless you're in a certain car (FD, AE86) nice try anyway

havent play the game for along time much less ver.2. anyways after the customizing upgrades are done, besides the option of swapping rims, every 15,000 points or so you get to maintain your car with like oil changes, plug wire change, coolant change, and etc. the maintenance will make your car slightly faster, not very noticable, only if you race a tuned one with a stock one.

you guys must really like the -34's. over here alot of people like to use ff cars. it actually annoys me but oh well.

hey, it seems that here, the only kids who use ff cars are the kids from hong kong. Everyone else uses the cars they actually like, which i think makes the game more fun and more of a challenge. Its alot more satisfying to beat someone without using a handicap.
and about the car balances, i think they did an alrite job...the 86 is challenging in ver.2 because of the 11,000rpm thing. If you switch gears even 200rpm below 11000 u will lose speed going from 3-4th or 4-5th, 4-5th especially tho. my 86 has 750k on it and i just started an Evo III cause no one here uses it and im not sure they know about gettin the misfiring system so that should be kinda fun.

Oh yea, on irohazaka, people keep talking about the jumps, but every time i take the hairpins and i point the car right over the part with the dirt it just hits it and takes the corner around really fast, it doesnt actually jump over it, am i doin somethin wrong?

no cuz that's how i've seen it done...but if ur sayin u need to see the jump saying that u've done that LINE move on Iro, i don't think you do, sometimes you see it, sometimes you don't.

to answer your question penpen989; yes you can get the misfiring system it gets kind of annoying though. not sure if you can hear it on the aracde machine because you can barely hear the BOV on there.

but on the ps2 you can hear okay though.

hey i got the misfiring system yesterday, i think its kinda kool. I passed a DC2 on hapo right after the hairpin sequence. right when we came out of the last hairpin i cleared it faster, this misfire popped and i blasted by him, it was at the perfect time in the song too. hahaha reminds me of third stage.

Currently got one at 200k pts. Runs ok, but only do battles against someone less skilled, or you'll get smoked.

my evo is only 140k and yea it was a human player, ive fallen in love with another car tho...the HACHI GO!!!! smoking fools with it is soooooo much fun!! when u start shift 1-2-3-4 real quick and u blast off the line! i spent 28 bucks on it today and when it was STOCK i beat this kids GC8V with over a million points and an aura. since he was pissed then he did iro and wrecked me but i had ultimate revenge!! I beat him by 3 meters on myogi with no boost and then happogahara no boost outbound!! and he doesnt suck either, he hits every jump on iro and beats alot of people but its just the awesome power of the Hachi-go that he cant handle. Single cam...no lsd...carburator instead of fuel injection..oh yea thats where its at.

it def sucks on turns but thats part of the challenge and when u win everyone gives u mad props. it currently has 30k on it. his sn is FerrariMP3000, everyone should IM him and laugh cause his million point GC8V lost to the hachi go on akina and happo! *turns the wheel hard and cringes his teeth* MAGERU! Oh yea, funny story... my girlfriend is from japan and she loves driving as much as i do but doesnt know how to drift like me (yay for my miata) but anyway when she was in japan she would go to mountains alot and she visited irohazaka with her dad who owns car dealerships and is a car nut. The road was hella crowded cause it was daytime there was tour busses on it and stuff so they couldnt go fast. so they went to the rest stop and there was those monkeys there, and she went to give it a chip and the monkey punched her! LOLOL my gf got punched by a monkey.

yea def get an 85, even on iro its good cause u can take alot of hairpins in 4th, with such a low redline its like if u shift up to 4th by accident it doesnt really hurt u haha. i get a kick out of watching my hachi go fly over iro.
