Well, picked this badboy up for 1000 running. He thought that it had a steering problem and didn't want to mess with it.
(Notice tires in the pic)

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/selling%20stuff/P3250043.jpg

It had been a nice car, but for the last year it has been sitting because of the steering problem. After 20 mph the whole car shakes really bad.
We bring over newer tires.. problem solved.. lol.

Got a good wash/ wax on it:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/sexcar/DSC06776.jpg
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/sexcar/DSC06759.jpg
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/sexcar/DSC06757.jpg

Quite a big difference.
Under the hood, started fixing a few things/ wiring:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/DSC06824.jpg
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/DSC06825.jpg

Little cleaner, and came with some goodies. Oh, and also what came with the car was a seperate 2.4 block w/ ported head :naughty:

I already got the intake manifold/ VC powdercoated to match:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/DSC06993.jpg

It's gloss black, and under the light it's redish purple. keke..

Car started making weird noises under the hood, so it's parked for now. But I'm still debating on wether this car gets the 2.4 or 2.0. Also, it will either get a 3065 or the FP3582HTA.

I have full build plans for it either way.
Also, for exterior, I'm going to re-paint it all black cherry, tint the headlight/ taillights, and throw on some bronze rims. I also have some Corbeau racing seats to go in it :D

So here's my thread about this car. Expect lots of pictures from me, and I'll keep this updated as I go.

Good Lord, three nice 1g projects all with extensive build plans? Can I have one? Do you have a shop, or is it just a hobby? Well either way good luck on them and definately keep us updated with as many pics as possible. Do you have any videos that you've made?

Unfortunetly almost every penny I make goes to saving up for builds :p
I don't even own a videocamera, let alone know how to upload them. I just steal Brendan's digi camera and snap away... Maybe for Christmas I'll get the D40 I've been asking for :)

I guess next step for Black Cherry is pulling the engine and work on cleaning up the engine bay (getting rid of things I don't need: CC, AC, ABS, random wires... and litterally cleaning it: Simple green style)

kittay

Lol.. thanks :)
.. too many! I'm only claiming 3 dsms as mine
We have:
90 red talon - (ear broke off on the block, getting sold)
92 red laser - (60-1 car, going to auto since Brendan can't shift)
94 red talon - (getting a motor in and selling)
91 green eclipse - (auto, Brendan's DD)
91 blue talon - (needs a crank)
91 black cherry - (needs core support, got hit in front)
91 black cherry - (My car, this thread)
91 silver talon - (my car, other thread)
91 silver eclipse - (my DD)
92 white laser - (parts car)
91 black gaylant - (burn victim)

(they're all AWD)

Oh and this car even runs.. well I guess it did before parts started getting taken off it.
Does have a straight body, but the oxidization just kills it. So re-paint is a must. I was thinking doing it a solid, but not quite the original black cherry.. Kinda more of a black w/ red tint.. so it still has the black cherry look, but more of this color in the day:

Thor06
11-26-2007, 02:12 AM
Getting parts taken off it, is it a parts car? Or is the other one? Because if so and you have a good front bumper and a straight set of fenders I know someone who might want them. :)

It had a weird knock, so it got parked. As it was parked, the dejon pipes got put on the green eclipse.
The other black cherry is Brendan's baby, so I'm going to try and get a core support for Christmas to get it finished. He loves that car to death, and cried when I got him the other black cherry to replace the one that got hit.. then I kinda took it over since I like it too :)
-- story: That is his first dsm. I drove it to work, and a 70 year old lady ran a red light and hit me head on, totalling the car.
The parts car is the white laser. It's pretty junk other then 1gb lights.

Brendan's car:

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/talon/P5170254.jpg

Fenders are still good.. It just needs a new front bumper, the spare hood/headlight covers painted.. and the core support

kittay
12-06-2007, 12:19 PM
Unfortunately, only half run. But my car (silver eclipse) is pretty reliable. The only thing wrong right now is a flat tire :banghead:
After they get through the maintenance stage, they are usually pretty good about being reliable. The worst we've had so far was a car we bought with a blown headgasket and it kept overheating after that.

So maybe 50$ a month for misc parts

kittay
12-31-2007, 12:23 AM
Just an update.. Roommate is moving out, so I get the garage at the end of the month!!!! YAY!!!!

But here's what I've got for it already:
50 trim
HKS BOV
Fidanza flywheel/ Act2600 clutch
Steel radiator
Black leather
FMIC
3"Stainless steal Exhaust
Gm maft or Evo Maf
Aeromotive FPR
Walbro 255
Turbo timer
Boost controller
Gauges

I've got some Hks 272/272 cams ordered :D
Then all I need for her to get running is some injectors (most likely 950 to run E85) and to go through the engine (get some maintenence)

Eventually get a tubular manifold for it.

These are the wheels I've been considering:

I think you'll be happy with the 3065 once you finally get it. My buddy has it on his GS-T. We raced from about a 30mph roll, and at only 13psi on the 3065, he still pulled away from me at 21psi on the E316G.

kittay
01-03-2008, 01:03 PM
^Yuh, my friend has one too. Hits hard and fast.

Got a MBC for it. Now just need some time to start ripping everything apart. I forgot about the ABS. So going to have to swap that out and get a 4 bolt in there too :)

kittay
01-15-2008, 05:28 PM
Well.. the cams fell through.

I found a DNP manifold used for a good price, just worried about the condition if there's any cracks/ re-welds

I figured if I can get some lowering springs, I can get the 5zigens to fit :) They're 17x9 :P lol w/ 255 wides :)

Oh yuh, they're great manifolds.. Just my worry is with any tubular, having cracks or crappy re-welds. That's the main issue.
The guy is selling it for a good price and claims there is only 800 miles on it. But he ignored answering my question about cracks/ re-welds. He's supposedly sending me some upclose/ detail pics though.

Arg.. I want to spend all this money and I'm getting close to quitting and not working for a year to finish school.

Got a 50 trim for now. Going to see how badly I can max it out.

I'm pulling the motor that is currently in it and freshening it up. I have everything to get it running, just I would like to run some cams in it and larger injectors. Other then that, got everything :)

Sweet. I'm looking forward to seeing another 1g monster =) although I don't favor the body style I do love how much you can do with them..way more options than my 2G RS lol..

It's a sexy whale like Shamoo.

That's funny. I've never sat in a 1G before but like I stated earlier I think the insides are all ugly and old looking. Plus the automatic seatbelt thing drives me crazy. My old Escort had that and I wanted to break it.
