Although I suppose thats not as bad as waking up in your bed one morning with your FMIC after a heavy night of drinking... :uhoh:

HAHA. I remember that. No wonder that car is never getting done. You're always "working on it", but never getting anything done.

What's the RMR, I assume a run? I know for summer, I wanna go back down there to go to lagoon!!!!!!

But I love the feeling of sitting in a 1g, it's so snug and safe feeling. I had to drive my friends 2g and it was akward feeling. Harpoon the whale.. I called his 2g the whale :P

Rocky Mountain Raceway =)

I think it's one of the best tracks i've been to.

Well you could car dolly your 1G down =P After its fully built its not going to be ideal for distance driving anyways from the sound of your plans.

Midnight drags are great but Hot Import Nights are the best. People from the surrounding states always bring amazing cars..seen a few skylines , some GTO's true silvias , Jspec suabarus gallore..it's teh awsomes =)

Plus this year UTAH will be sponsoring a thing like Nevada does with the Open Road Race so that will be fun too.

Is it not good for the transfer case or the rear diff ? if it's the T-case , it's an easy fix just d/c the rear drive line but if it's bad for the rear diff. that's another story I guess :/

I was just saying car dolly as they are so easy and cheap to come by.

^ Nice.. I'm not THAT obsessive.. lol

Figured I'd bump this thread... I'm getting pretty excited/ nervous. The track opens 30 March for the first test n tune.
Hopefully my this car will be running in time. That is my goal. I have everything I need for it to start and run. Unfortunetly, I'm quitting my job in 2 weeks and don't have enough money for some 272s. So maybe bday money will go to that.
Also, one of the track tires got a large bubble and popped, so a new RA1 is like 200$ as well.
Financial issues are ftl!
So far it's been snowing so bad that I haven't been able to get the car out of the snow and into my new garage :(. We tried towing it out today, but just tore up the lawn.

But I did get some Evo Springs that I'm going to cut slightly and run the 5zigens. So at least it won't be monster trucking :P

Well yesterday I quit my job.. so I am now unemployed! :)
Lucky for me, I got pretty much everything I need now.
I just picked up some comp200 cams, and 3000gt vr4 brakes to go on.

Car is still stuck in the mud.. But I got all the parts ready to go in...

Well get on fixing that beast and then you'll be happier and less stressed over it and more willing to work and then resume the source of income to increase mods and power thus increasing your happiness =P

I see you said you had VR4 brakes..Are they dual or quad piston ? Also will they go onto a 2G ? I know a guy who has a junk yard with like 6 3KGT's >_<

The VR4 are 4piston. The ones on my DD are SL and dual piston.

Ahh..well dig it out lol..We've had some nice weather here so I attempted the power window conversion into my RS lol..-fail- Do you have to have adapters to mount the VR4 brakes ? or direct swap ? I would like some more stopping power :/

So your pulling parts off your 3000GT to fix up some 1G ? Does your 3KGT run or is it dead ? I hate seeing those beauties in the scrap yards. :(

Looks like you've got the right idea with that mod list so far to make some excellent power =) As for the clear timing belt cover I hear they warp from the engine bay heat and discolor ( not from a very mechanically inclined person mind you. )

The 3kgt is wrecked in the front end. The motor does run. Body wise, it is not salvagable.
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/k1ttylitter/selling%20stuff/DSC06947.jpg

So that kinda sucks. But I was going to part it out, make some money back.. but I found a guy who's going to pick up the complete body from me this weekend :)

That sucks about the timing belt cover.. Do you have any links for that, I'd like to read up on it a bit.

So with the money coming in from the 3kgt, I'm picking up the new parts. I'm debating on a few things:
FP race manifold- one for me, one for t67
Carbon Fiber hood/ headlight covers
Start on my silver car and get the 2.4 block started
1000 + injectors for E85 (since I was just going 750 to get me by)

That's a nice one, I've been thinking about getting one off ebay but I don't want to buy a dinky little wheel. I saw this CRX around town w/ a aftermarket wheel but it was like 2/3 the size of a regular wheel and that's not what I want. check these out.

Damn Kittay, that looks pretty hot... if I were to get an aftermarket one, thats the kind I would want. If I ever did get an aftermarket one I'd also want a detachable thing, I think thats bad ass. I'd lose that 6" long weiner shift knob first if I were you, luckily mine came with two shift knobs. The dildo shifter went on the street in the poor neighborhood of my home town.

That one is 13.8" / 350mm. Not sure how large the stock one is?? Anyone?
But it's one of the bigger ones I could find.

I was going to also grab a momo shift knob. The one I have in the silver car is the momo and I LOVE it! So I'll probably going to pick up those two!!

The best thing about pulling an engine is that you can clean it all up nice so theres no grease on her when you put her back in. Cars lookin good. Also your hands don't look all that dirty so I'm lead to believe that you aren't doing any of the work.

Do you believe everything you read Crow??? JK kittay I thought maybe you had cleaned up before you took the picture. How helpful are those mechanics gloves? Blackcrow64

I've learned to wear gloves so that I don't have black hands for a week after working on my car. lol... Some people use disposable latex gloves, which I also have, whiles others use heavy duty mechanics gloves. I like both, it just depends on what I'm doing.

I've seen those nitrole ones at that hospital before. They are indeed heavy duty ones. I think a box or two might accidently find their way home with me before I quit. lol

I can never find mechanics gloves that fit :(

But if you go to a beauty supply store (Like Sally's) you can get a pack of 10 gloves for 3$. I have used the same ones over and over haven't ripped them so I'm happy. They have extra padding on the finger tips, too. Plus you can actually feel what you're touching.

JoeShmoe

Looks good Kittay!

Mechanics Gloves are the shit, I go through a pair every 3-4 weeks in the summer on the farm. They're thin enough that you can almost always feel what you're touching, except if it's like an 8mm bolt or something, other than that I love them. GoJo and Lava Soap work wonders too though....except for paint, doesn't get that shit off, then I've gotta resort to the damn lacquer thinner and dry the hell out of my hands....boo.
