How about the relay? Or the low pressure switch? Is it full of refrigerant??

The owners manual shows no relays for the compressor. There is charge but I need adapters for my gauges to see how much. They keep changing the fittings every 5 yrs. - that does'nt help. I'll also put voltmeter on the compr. plug & check that.

Thanx Hillbilly, good diagram- I printed it. Also found site with owners manuals in Adobe. Anyway I got can of freon with a gauge in the hose and after dumping some in, the compr. clicked on so its real low. My next question is: can I charge in the drier/accum fitting? Its all I see on the low side for a fitting. The hi & low side valves had some pressure still so I don't believe theres any air in the system. How many ounces does this system hold?

Good deal solo. Your system takes 2 pounds 6 ounces if it is completely empty. I would use a thermometer to measure duct temperature and when it gets around 40 degrees F stop adding refrigerant. You need to add a little at a time and let it run a few minutes in between shots and moniter the temperature at the vents. The fitting at the accumulator is the charge port. Good luck.
