My pristine 94 Marqui is stuck in park. It starts fine, sounds good, but the shift lever will not move. There are no engine or warning lights on, and I have allready disconnected the battery to try and reset any sensors. Any ideas out there?

Do you have brake lights?? If there are no brake lights on the back of vehicle, look for blown fuse first, then check brake light switch. HE Connector on switch will also break.

brake lights are not working, and i have checked all the fuses. What the heck is an HE connector? And where do I find it?

Sorry about that. I meant to say the switch. I am talking about the brake light switch that is located on the brake pedal. If you lay under the dash and follow the brake pedal up under the dash, you will see the brake light switch. Removing the lower panel may give you more access to get to the switch. Good luck. Here are a little more detailed instructions (http://autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/17/45/62/0900823d80174562/repairInfoPages.htm)on replacement. I don't have a picture guide.

You should be able to move the car (if you have to) by turning the key one position then the shifter will move to N where you can start it and then put it in D. The actual directions are in your owners manual. (I had to look it up when my 98 did it) . BTW, mine would blow a fuse every time you stepped on the brake. It turned out to be a bad ground.

I had this problem on Friday.

Turn the car off, turn the key to the first position (the dash will NOT light up in this position) put the car in N and start the car.

It was just the fuse for my brake lights. $2.99 ;)
