This isn't so much because of the looks, but because of my first car (a paid hand me down) was an Escort and it sucked. (Early 80's)

I'd go into the Ford dealership and the service writer would start filling out the paperwork for service. Without asking me from memory no computers or looking up anything, "Do you still live at ........", that was how often I was at the dealership for service.

Anyway about 10 years ago I was in the new car market, I stopped in a Ford dealership and looked at the current (at the time) Escort I took it for a test drive, but I just couldn't feel comfortable in the thing.

Anyway my car's choices have since moved up in the world

Well, if I'm trying to reply the topic, then I would pick 96 Dodge Avenger(Avanger?) Because it had an accident with my best friend and the driver was the one who is at fault but was yelling to my friend... that avanger(avenger?)almost killed her(My best friend)...
