I saw the sticker as well, and determined it to be the 27th car built, not necessarily chassis #027. This would make it #031.
Furthermore, in the last row of pics, the first pic has a completely white car in the background. Also in the engine shot that Erik pointed out, there's a white engine cover sitting in the background.

Your assumption is correct Sauc3, that is the engine/drivetrain for #031.
While looking at the red interior pic. I thought, there may be some writing on the brown card label which is tied to the ignition key. So I checked the neg, thinking it may have the VIN or chassis no. I could faintly see some writing by eye, the flash blanks this out in the pic. So under greater magnification, I could read............"FUEL KEY NOT ENGRAVED"......:banghead: Not what I was hoping for.

Another part of the mystery solved - I have it on good authority that the car below with the pimp red interior is indeed Chassis #033 - base silver - (from my new friend in this thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=690096)) so Erik, your assumption was correct

Another F1 I would really love to see good photos of is George Harrison's Dark Purple Pearl #025. I recently made contact with a friend of a friend of his son Dhani, and I requested that he try to get me some pictures of the car. I don't have high hopes that anything will materialize from that, but I do have my fingers crossed.
>8^)
ER Sorry to take so long to pick-up on this thread, and I'm sure you all know this, but doesn't George's F1 now belong to fellow rock legend and petrolhead Eric Clapton ?
Also, were you aware that McLaren commissioned a limited number of Dark Blue Pearl-coloured F1 lapel pin badges exclusively for George Harrison to share with his close friends ?
Please excuse me if these two comments have already been published previously, but they're the personal side of F1 ownership that fascinates me !

I think the Harrison / Clapton link is a myth, no proof of this has been offered although I can see where they are coming from - both being musicians and both loving cars.....
As for the lapels, thats a cool story, never heard that one. I wonder if they'll appear on eBay?

eBay's EXACTLY where I sourced mine a couple of years ago !
It was someone linked to Sony P.R who informed me of the Harrison F1 badge colour and its significance; curiously the pin badges vary in backplates between the (more common) butterfly type, which requires the squeezing-together of a pair of small flaps to release the pin stem and a far more elaborate pull-button type which is found on the blue badges.
I can only conclude that the F1 pin badges with the more elaborate backplate arrangement was destined solely for the owners of certain "special" F1's as the other colour that I've seen them in appears to be the Yquem burnt-orange (excuse the approximation) of the ultimate shortail F1 roadcar.
Perhaps this thread deserves its own title and discussion ?
