^^ :sunglasse All the silver and part of the engine will be painted blue like the interior.

Silver because the blue is to 80% candy or clear :2cents:

:D Hello.

Now Iīm back on this one again! This is maybe the last fit for test with tape.

I see, everything fits very well, itīs time for paint the underside and enginebay blue. I also rebuild the valve cover. I cutted it in 3 pieces, made new piece in the middle and addet the ignition wires. The modification to RB25 is nearly completed. Maybe you can spot the difference  Can you see the turbo and the header? :D

As you see, the hole in floor is gone, too. I decidet to keep the most parts of the exhaust system from the kit, because I havenīt the right tubing to build my own :frown:

This is still to do:
hinges for the hood
oil pump, hoses, trunk...
connect the ic to engine and turbo
bodywork
rear suspension
brake booster
headlights
hood pins
....

:screwy: and many more :evillol:

:grinyes: Hello again!

The suspension is completed! Now she can roll on her tyres (on 3, the fourth doesn´t like to roll :banghead: )

I see, I learned nothing... Nearly every progress the same mistake: I´m working faster than the paints and glue need to dry. That´s why it looks a bit messy, but I think it´s the underside... some areas I will rework, some will be hidden by the rims.

Here: front one

Looking good, nice progress, the interior looks awesome. One thing i tend to do is fit the engine (paint, glue and complete) before painting the chasis. No risk in chipping the paint when taking the engine in or out to check fitment. Just my 2 cents

Hello.

I repaired with styrene all the damage I did as I cutted out the hood, repaired the headlights. Removed a few molding lines, drybrushed some more detailing on the underside.

I also nearly finished the wheels, the tyres are "used" now and the 5 spoke centers are painted with Tamiya smoke and a semigloss clear laquer.

What an amazing wip. I'm totally amazed at what a daunting and intimidating journey you have gone thru with the tons of work and detailing you have put into this. From the fantastic engine and bay to all the details on the chassis. WOW. The interior is a point of great interest, as I think its beautiful. The cables in the doors are a great touch and its little things like that that really separate the men from the boys, lol. You build like me also, faster the the paint and glue dries but thats just more fun right?
"I screamed 5 times NO!!! and only one time Ahhh!!" -classic modeller's line. I had to laff at that too. This model is a work of art.

Small update, lots of work... 80% of the wires and hoses done, I counted 36 when completed. I donīt know why Iīm putting that much into, I worked too fast again and messed around a bit :banghead: Many of these wires wonīt be visible later, but hey, they are there.

The exhaust is now connected to the turbo and wears heat protection foil, too.

Still lot of work do: I need to do the strutbrace, airfilter, ic, hinges, oil and coolant hoses, cooler....

:D :D :D

Allright, after a loong brake, a few damages and changing plans... I sayd it, itīs back!

As I sayd before, I build a new one and the 2004 version which I started here with engine will be the 2006 version and the new 2006 kit will be the 2004 version.

I planned to build the ī04 version wing less, with standart R34 mirrors and the air hole in the left headlight. But after seeing through my references (I lost some importand pics bc of HDD crash :shakehead), Iīm not sure if the version is accurate. Hole in headlight version had small mirrors and the wing sometimes. Then I have to look closely which is green or blue interior version.

Anyway, the completed interior needs a new dashboard, I think a modified standart R34 one, bc Aoshima has only the CF version which was used at end of 2005 version. So, now I think to order the 2005 version as well and build it like a street car and steal the stripped interior for my TopSecret R34.

What I also donīt like, are the 2006 wheels, they are too big! So both will have the older wheels.

So far I started on the new interior and bc of missing cash and parts, I saved the seats and removed the molded seat belts :nono:
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5262/dsc05338mc7.jpg

On the new undercarriage I removed the cat, FWD and the box at the rear which holds the switch for my lightshow now.

Allright, I woke up and got back on my project. The 2004 ER is now painted with Tamiya white primer and blue inside.
I started the decals, you see these are not the decals from the kit. :grinno:
A small damage happend on the hood, that was a b***h to add bc of the TopSecret hood. But it will be easy to repair with clear blue and gold paint.

Maybe you can see that I prepared the side mirror setup for stock R34 ones from Tamiya.
Only a few decals to add, then I need to steal and fit a stock R34 dashboard... some small things and the 2004 version is done! :D
