Hi guys! :grinyes:

Iīm not really shure if Iīm right here, itīs my first topic here in the Motorsports area and my fourth at all on AF. For me this car is a race car because its moving around race tracks. I hope you like my project and support me maybe a little.

Ok, one more BlitzER!
I bought this kit a while ago and was very happy, then Aoshima released the 2005 version :icon16: Ok, the ver. ī05 looks a bit angry, my ī04 more friendly. The same with the KeiOffice Silvia :disappoin

Anyway, this kit looks easy and nice with rollcage, wing and very nice decals. I will change the seats and build my own seatbelts. I hope I can put some more details on this. You can look in the hood vent and there is nothing like an engine to see. I hope I can sort this out, too...

Good luck. I have done the '05 version, its a nice kit to do.

And these are the parts for the interior, seatbelts, some parts for the rollcage... next step will be to built and fit the seatbelts.

What kind of seatbelt you use?

Thanks.
I had good luck with some gift wrap. Itīs a combination of ScaleProduction PE parts and blue gift wrap.
I bought the PE parts @ http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/ , there can be bought a set with decals, belts (red, blue, black (picture above in a bag)) with PE parts. Itīs very close to these belts or maybe better I think.

Hi guys, small update: stripped interior

http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/2005/dsc020195cf.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

something like this:
http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/3460/pict00075mn.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Next step will be the inner door handles. No good for lazy people like me... same progress 4 times

The seats are too high, less than 1mm between the roof. I sandet 1mm from the bottom of the seat and 1mm of the moulded seat mounts on interior bottom. Now they have correct position, I think.

Next problem is waiting: How to disable 4WD?
http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/7058/dsc020281lq.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Any ideas? :D

Has any one a picture of the underside of a RWD Skyline? A bottom of a model car would be helpful, too, please?

little update, dashboard carbonated and scratchbuilt pedals.

Looking good! Love the work you've done to the interior. Just fantastic. You're pouring a lot of detail into this, and it's great. These drift cars need some good attention from a builder like you.

I have a few cast resin copies of the valve cover from an RB26, I can send you one to put under the hood so there's something to be seen through that hole. But I don't think the motor sticks that far forward. On the 1:1 car, there's probably just radiator or ducting to be seen through that hole in the hood.

Thanks very much for your support, Iīm happy:grinyes:

@ Willimo
Yes, about the valve cover Iīm interested but later the time for my Silvia project which I didnīt start yet. Iīll come back to you when I have more plans for the next project :grinyes: (RB26 S15).

For this one (Blitz) Iīm planing to open the hood and put a RB26 from R32 inside, so please, stay tuned.

:D Hello!

Time for an update? Interior 80% completed :) Not really happy with it, but now I have enough...
I checked the underside of the original and the kitīs underside and donīt know really how to do. Iīm thinking about to cut nearly everything away for realistic de-cat exhaust, engine, front suspension
If I like to build this realistic as poassible, I have to do this. Because the susp., exhaust, etc. are Skyline stock parts and no good for drifting.

Here my interior, please enjoy!

The interior looks super!

What are the wires on the door panel?

Risko
06-18-2006, 01:17 PM
Thanks:wink:

The wires open the doors, there are 2, the above one locks the door, the under one opens the door. It´s connected with the lock, the inner and outer door handle. Usually you don´t see them, because they are under the door card. On the most cars the above one goes straight from the lock to the stick which shows from outside if the car is open or not. I hope I could describe this correctly with my English skills

can't you use the aoshima RB20DET engine kit?

it's not an RB25 but i think as far as looks go they're identical.

Risko
06-21-2006, 10:23 AM
I´m still confused about the version I´m building... I blame Aoshima for that  It will be my personal 2004-2006 version

The decals, intercooler... is 2004, right? The interior is 2005-2006  Now I started the blue interior which looks like ´05-´06 and I will continue this in the engine bay. It will look like the my ref pic, because the Tamiya engine looks closest to this and has a detailed transmission, what solves my problem how to disable 4WD :)
http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/2871/specnomeng9ha.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I have a RB26 kit from Aoshima, too, but I don´t like it that much. It looks too big, that´s why I didn´t buy the RB20 kit yet. I think I´ll buy it for my S13 Silvia :grinyes:

small progress, a lot of work :grinno: , firewall finished, side walls from engine bay, the struts and engine mounts.

:D Hi!

Still in work this huge project. Donīt know why Iīm doing so much work for me... If I hadnīt any reference pics, it would be completed

Now Iīm working on the engine, I have to mod the RB26 to a RB25, donīt know how accurate it will be, if not, it doesnīt matter to me  The main thing is that the engine will look high detailed and cool :screwy:

Does anybody know how the oil wiring works on this one?
From oil pump to oil cooler to oil sump, oil filter, turbo, engine block, valve cover and the oil tank? Something else?

When I know how the wiring should be, the project will continue faster.

Still to do:
rebuild the bottom of the car
scratchbuilt exhaust system
scratchbuilt stabilizers
complete the engine bay
detailed engine rebuilt with wiring, air filter, intercooler
brake lines maybe
hinges for the hood
headlights
hood pins

Done:
interior 98%
engine fittet
front suspension modified
ride hight
