Now thats unfair. You get the album before us time for fits of depression.
The main thing we get bootlegged down here is movies.
If only I could see Tool and Nin live. They are 2 of the bands I have yet to see live. Nin used to put on one of the best stage/light shows ever I wonder how they do now? Got to keep this one updated vin

listened to that thing front to back... amazing. I'll still let it grow on me, but its definitely lateralus and undertow melded together, same tool sound, but new musical artwork. i'm gonna love this show, deep in the lysergic...

Which song you talking about? vicarious?
Haha! I recorded that vicarious on a disc, 4X . 2x then some other Tool, commando(a Ramones song) and ass kicken fat kid(from Run Ronnie Run), then 2x more on the end. Short disc!
I'll surly be burnt out on vicarious, by the time the new album arives next month :grinyes:

I picked up 4 tickets(the limit) for Chicago, seemed all venues sold out pretty damn quick.
Its a prety good drive but hell no one goes to Indy any more. All the places are new, so the bands hav to pay twice as much, so the tickets are always $60-80(or more) generall admission :shakehead
I seen their last tour twice, with Meshuga , I didnt really like them to technical. Just a bunch of noise!
What I like about seeing them twice was the first show was kick ass! The second show was totally different, and I think they sounded better at the end of the tour, which I think was after they came back from Europe/asain tour.
Good Luck on tickets guys!

THE FOLLOWING IS A MESSAGE FROM MJK
"Many people are complaining about the sold out shows. Relax. We're doing a full on tour at the end of the summer which goes almost everywhere. And in the new year, we'll go almost everywhere else. These are just a handful of warm-up dates. There's nothing much we can do to out wit the scalpers. If you have patience, just don't buy the tickets from them. just wait until August. Screw them. Believe me, if I could design a virus that would leave scalpers totally impotent, mute, and penniless, I would. Same goes for lawyers. (I have a whole different virus in mind for mini vans. More on that later.)"

Wanted to pine it over before I made any coments about it.
Its definatly tripy!
I think right now I like "the pot" the best, seems to be pretty heavy, like old school Tool.
Jambi is next in line........ shit its all kick ass, no doubt thier.
I really like thier neet packaging, way Kool.
Though, I did get the Salival feel on the later of the album. I'd say its the same chords(notes) on some songs, but back wards(my fav). Havent really tried figuring out any of these new tunes to be certain though, I will .
Now I'm redeye for the show!

now about that rumor of a song on there that was 11 mins long. Maybe they were talkin bout half the album. I think that the average length of a song is like 8mins per. I know there were a few on their that stemmed right up to 10mins.
kick ass album
slightly dissappointed though that some of the peoples i work with dont like it but hey some of them cant even tell the diff. between pantera and slipknot.

Well seen the show in Chicago Lastnight !
Heres the set list:
Lost Keys / Rosetta Stoned
Stinkfist
46 & 2
Jambi
Schism
Right in Two
Sober
Lateralus
Vicarious
Aenema
Disapionted they didnt play The Pot.. My Fav of the moment !!!
the Video during jambi was particularly well done,
extended stinkfist and schism were top notch though
Right into is my next Fav and it was awsome live !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
MJK kept saying he was "sick" or wasnt "feeling well"... Sounds like BS to me  He was dead on key every song, so maybe he was BSing us...
It's so different to see them in a small venue rather than a gigantic arena..
Much more intimate, much more simple...
This was a "warm up" Tour for the UK.... It'll be a bigger better show this Fall so who ever didnt see them now, dont miss the fall shows !!!

Has anyone heard about playing two songs on the new ablum back to back and then playing a third over them? i guess it's suppose to sound really good, kinda like they planned it or something. I was told the songs played back to back are wings for mary and viginti tres but i'm not sure what the other song is. I liked to try it so let me know.

OH HELLZ YES!!
i'm like a little child who just found out he's going to Disney World...
I'M GOING TO SEE MUTHERFUCKIN TOOL, BITCHES!!
sry, but, i'm all over the place right now. They're easily my favorite band by far and yet i've never seen them live!! I was able to see A Perfect Circle on their last tour, but now, TOOL!! (btw, rumor has it that this is also their last US tour, and last album as well...)

Glad to here You are going vinnym86!
They rock live :grinyes:
I have heard the rumor that this was the end, but as I recall after Aenima the same rumor was running around.
Granted they took off several years off, but they came back for Lateralus....
I think its some ploy they've invoked, so tickets will sell out everywhere, and Tool stocks will skyrocket ;)
Dont mind if they dont do another tour, but they hav to hav a couple more albums under thier sleeves.
I hope I hope I hope
Also, narcolepticJay, you might beright. WIngs for marie and viginti are 11:13 in time(together) and 10000 days is 11:13... maybe your onto something :dunno: I'll giv it a try

^I overlapped the two in Audacity, they synced up ok, but really didn't seem to serve a purpose. however, Viginti Tres played in reverse plays a message, which i couldn't make out. I looked it up online, but i found different answers from different sources. the most reliable of sources claims it reads "Be Patient"... an eerie thought knowing that the title of the song has a strong occult significance. (viginti tres means 23 in latin, a very symbolic and significant number in the occult)

Ya I ran wings for marie and viginti along with 10000 days, it was kinda trippy :)
Even changed the first two around, with viginti first, still was wierd but nothing to write home about.
ok if viginti means 23, then wouldnt it backwards be 32, which isnt as significant as 23 in the ocult.
they are always TooLing with us :banghead:
btw how did you run it backwards?

you can run it backwards, and pretty much do any simple alterations to any mp3, in Audacity. just go to their website, its freeware.

no problem. have fun with it, don't forget to play around with Dark Side of the Moon
the show is on the 19th all the way in Pittsburgh. I'd have gone to a NY show here, but i'd like to see it with a friend of mine who goes to Carnegie Mellon.
sidenote; this week or next, i will experience tool deep in the lysergic...
