thanks for your opinions mike, i admit i was looking at it last night and the kit is a bit wide, in my opinon it looks really good at the front, nice and evil !! what would you do to make it look better ?

so it looks like no ferrari bumper? and i don't know if you have any plans for the engine but a suggestion would be to maybe put in two motors if it's possible. since you made the actul car wider by splitting it down the middle there might be enough room for two four cylinder engines maybe?

thats a really good idea, i think i might put the ferrari bumper on you know i dont lyk the way the origonal 1 is working out, an i need change the kit on it anyway, i was thinkin of putting too engines in it but then i was thinkin off putting workin stereo in it aswel or jus loads of subs, but if i put 2 engines in it i cud make a fire wall 'n' everyfin :rolleyes: that could be good :) what do you recon ?

you will be able to, i used to jus get old bootlids off cars weld a plate in them and fiberglass them too make them really smooth, i started off pretty crap but i got better you should try it, jus get a piece of sheet metal put a gully type thing in it like a dip, and try to fill it in so it looks like there was never a dip in the metal after a few times of doing it u wont even need to sand down the fiberglass much. ;)

i would say you can just get engines off of other cars. but when you go out and buy other cars or get parts from scrap cars in you collection you should get engines that are actully blocks, unlike some of maisto's engines which they are plates. i currently can't think of any cheap small engines that you can get but by looking at my collection you could buy 2 of maisto's mercedes-benz ml55 because that particular maisto's engine isn't actully a plate.
if your interested in the specs it is:
cylinders V8
displacement 5439
horsepower 342
torque 387
and it's normally aspirated.

now looking back at the ferrari front end, you could've left the hood long and then put the bumper infront of it like you did in the test photos and you could've put the ferrari headlights in as well. then on the front fenders you could mold it around the side of the front bumper. just a suggestion.

i have some perspex its the same thickness as the windows thats came out of the car, il jus cut it to the sizes i need i might even tint it slightly

i made the 1st turbo today il have some pics soon, i still cant find any websites for 1.18 scale engines, iv drilled the holes for the back lights and stared styling the front bumper, what colour do you think i should do it? i was thinking black at the bottom and white at the top with mayby a gold dividing line ?

here the center consol and new bumper, iv got the paint for it now its satin black and pearl white they should go really well together, what do you think of the center consold it still needs painting yet

it's been ages. that must mean that the car is going to look stunning next time we see it or you got tired of the project and have moved on.(which i hope not)

there will be some updates 2moro, the car has changed alot iv made an exhaust jus need make the system go with, and made a turbo and better intercooler started on the lights and still trying to make the kit look better

i wasnt a fan of this project before i thought the wide body was to big and looked a bit stupid but its startin to look good you must be pretty good to be able to use fibreglass on such a small model and when i heard you were goin to widen the actual car i thought it would look silly but youve done a good job but one question why widen the car? anyway great work keep it up

the turbo vane things are massive! so i guess no dueal engine after all. i thought you wen't gonna be able to pull off the front bumper but you proved me wrong just like how you proved me wrong on making the actual car wider! please take off the mesh on the bumper tho. still doing the ferrari hood n tail lights?

Hey LA body kit = amazing! i cant belive you pulled that off. With the subs if your avaiable get a jada car or truck and use it as a doner car. It would be more expencive to buy the part seperate, usually will come with tv subs amps you kno all of that stuff!

hey im not sure if you metioned this but what are your ideas for paint on this one?

im thinkin doin black at the bottom and white roof, then air brush LA customs on the roof get come stikers for the side

i know it's your car but i think you should do one solid color. like candy apple red. no decals.

yer ok i dont really like red anymore because quite a few of my cars are so im thinkin either black or blue, or the same as im doing my real car, black with blue metal flake

done some shaping to the kit now, its starting to look a lot better....

iv also made the install in the back im maki ng 4 subwoofers an amp and a NOS bottle for the back im going to remake the exhaust on the lathe aswel cos mine is jus crap atm im getting some wire for brakelines etc iv got the mattearial for carpeting it all should have some pics of that thiss week.....
