Just so you guys know the quick street 91 Stang in the 9's was registered, insured and driven on the streets in New Hampshire. This car was not a trailor queen by a long shot.

It still had almost all of it's original interior minus the factory seats, seat belts, radio, and of course the cage was added.

Also you say what would the 354 run N/A.... well what would his 454 run minus 100 cubes.......

One thing I hate is that guys will never talk mod for mod, always something being better with the mods it has but will never compare it to the other car if it had the mods. Really guys, on the street, to you honestly go mod for mod??? does a civic scare you if its not stock???? real racers run what they brung, faster is faster, the supercharged 354 is on an equil level with the 454, a supercharger makes an engine think its larger than it is, so its not giving him an advantage, its simply leveling the playing feild. anybody here only go out and play when they have a distinct advantage??? wheres the risk, wheres the fun? I may only do money runs when i know i have a chance of winning, or when i know im going to win, im not stupid, but im not going to say ill only race cars with the same number or fewer mods as my car. Earl I came in here just stated the current situation my Stang is in and make a small joke about Camaros but also busting my own and cars balls at the same time.

Then you came in wit oh my 454 can take on the world and how I should bow down to it and all Mustangs should live in live in fear of it. So i just told you that I have personally worked on and seen two Mustangs that can handle your car and the one I owned probably would too. And this is def not saying that there is not Camaros that are as fast or faster. Cause I totally agree anything can be made fast if you put money into it.

And all of your it your mod for mod thing is as crazy as trying to say well all cars are stock. Everybody mods their cars in different ways to achieve something. You chose to go big block other guys go turbos, S/C, nitrous, I/H/C, the choices are limitless. If someone spent more money or went a better route and made their car faster than yours get over it.

I attended a local Mustang show this past weekend and saw a lot of cool cars. I know one of the late model guys and he had his car at the show. It is a '03 Cobra in that whatever yellow they use(zinc maybe?). He was talking to some other people about his mods and power.....it was CRAZY! He has all of the normal bolt-ons and some supercharger tricks too I think. He said he just got it dynoed out at 470 rwhp. This guy isn't a bullshiter either, he is a pure-blood drag racer. He said that one time he was doing a burnout in his work parking lot, and even after he let off the gas the tires refused to stop turning for about a second or two. Personally, that would scare the shit out of me, but I guess he is used to it. Anyway, alot of cars are fast, and it really doesn't matter if it is a stock-headed LS1 running 10's, or a stock headed Mustang with 470 rwhp. They are all our pride and joy, and are what make such a great hobby.

The only reason I mentioned the LS1, is they seemed to be heading towards an N/A cube fight. 346 cubes, naturally aspirated and in the 10's.
When it comes down to it though, it doesn't make a BIT of difference what is used to make the power, as long as it makes it.

And a 470 RWHP Cobra?? Sounds like the usual bolt-ons and a pulley. That is all it takes. I have a love-hate relationship with those cars. I mean....they are badass and can make some crazy numbers quick, but on the other hand, they are the rival Mustang. :lol:

Like I said 99% of my posts are not serious, I'm probably the least mechanically inclined person on the whole forum (except for maybe some of the import guys :smile:). Read the rest of my posts, and THEN tell me how ignorant I was being. I misinterpreted yours, you misinterpreted mine, no harm no foul. I haven't raced anyone in my maro, no one seems to want to, except my friend with an 03 Cobra estimated at 520-ish HP (not sure bhp or rwhp), and that won't happen until I get it straightened out. On the other hand TONS of import guys wanted race my Z71... pointless. (Also have a friend with a 86? Lotus, and a replica 427 Cobra that wants to go... but thats just for fun.)

All the problems are fixed, except the horn. I think a wire some where in the steering colunm is f'ed up, ben to lazy to take a look. At the time, i needed to get the car on the road, plus i have to give the gut a "tip" to pass anyways...

Sounds like my Maro when I took it to pass inspection, like it let blue smoke when you started it, you kept to have the gas on a little because of the idle air control and my cat wasnt working along with one of my orange lights doesnt come on but the signal light still works for it :sly:

And the guy passed it, probably because they consider it a classic, and yes I know how many years it takes for a car to be a classic so dont school me on it.

Well today's classic cars are considered is 79 and below. It's 26 years.

They let my old Camaro go through, this was before the IM240 test cam around tho, with no smog pump, the diverter valve tubes cracked off the maninfolds, no cat, open air element filter, man those were the days. Oh, and the holes drilled into the muffler for that sweet custom sound.

But seeing this one is fuel injected I thought they'd be much stricter. Used to blow a crap load of oil smoke, but still you smell it's running rich a pig. Even my damn 68 don't smoke/stink up the garage anywhere near as bad and it's exempt!
