Well I went muddin' today :lol2:
But I picked up the crappy bondo body filler instead of the good stuff. for some make shift tweeter pods, oh well...but i mixed as i usually mix (which was WAY too hot) and the body filler hardened before i could get through smoothing it out :banghead:

well after 2 sheets of 100 grit i got it pretty much smooth... well actually i ran out of 100 grit and had to moveu p to 150...trying to smooth out a few voids

Got'R'Did, just a few pin holes but the primer should fill that in

and a look after being wiped down with 50% acetone and 50% Methaol (just use tac cloth...i stole the 100% methanol from my chemistry teachers chemical storage room)

well it is looking pretty good. :biggrin: a friend comented that they are looking better than some of the crap the local JL audio/Kicker/MTX/Sony Xplod dealer does... :rofl:

the finsih is looking pretty sweet. actually a little too glossy for me likes, almost. i may wet sand with some 440 to pring th gloss down some.

there is a little spot up around the top that wasnt getting enough paint, so its finish looks s little flat/grey...but i fixed that iwth another coat of paint, pretty much.

with the flush mount tweeter ring installed, the finished doenst look as glossy because there was a 2nd light source bedites the camera flash.

and it was all....FREE...including the OS...which is the most basic version of XP...which means i also have Windows Media 9 with DVD capeability :evillol:
which means when i find a free and working DVD ROM with software...ill also be watching DVD's...

so now for my birthday...im thinking security system and 7.5" flip down monitor...or maybe i will put it on the dash... or maybe in the dash...

either way i no longer need a head unit...and the OEM radio can be kept for security (woofers iwll be hard to see with tinted windows) so no SOB robber will look in an see a fancy head unit and decide brakeing in and stealing will be his next payc check...now i just need to find a better sound card...but it will have to be free...of course :lol2:

oh and...can you say dual processor capeability? not that i need it...but it is allways there..just in case.

Is that an ISA slot??? And what's this... Dual processor support...? Is it actually a full-out dual processor motherboard, or does it just contain slot 1 and socket 370 for easy compatibility?

How are you running all this... Through power inverter and FM modulator to the OEM radio, or are you just sending your inputs straight to the amps???

well if my radio has a free AUX in it is going into my Radio, otherwise the radio will be an AUX in to the computer ( i need a special sound card which will actually cost me money :( ) and then from the computer to the inputs, either way i am going to need to get one of thoes line level thingies to drop speaker outs to line level outs...but i will have a lot of mp3 sotrage...lol

and yes, this motherboard is old...but the processor is oh too slow (just slow) and i have lots and lots of memory so im happy...since it was free...am i running the free part into the dirt?? :lol2:

My Big 3 upgare isnt too far off, i looked at wire today at lowes, fine stranded 1/0 is 1.18/foot... which is CHEAPER than weldingsupply.com...only thing is they only have black, but as long as i label it some how (like with shrink wrap every few inches or w/e) i should be good, but i need a good fuse case and 300a fuse and ends for 1/0...the week after this coming i am going to orlando with my mom to get my nephew who was recently born...n/m...you get the idea...his mom refuses to take him to get "it" done...but anyway we are going to orlando and the home depot there sells 3/4" MDF so i will be picking up a few sheets, and i just picked up a 40 tooth carbide tipped blade from lowes so enclsoure construction is also soon to begin.

after the link dies..its a Hifonics BX1205D purchased for $222 shipped and insured which is over $50 chepaer than buying from the cheapest non ebay dealer i could find, so i like ebay...as long as he isnt a deadbeat...but he has a pretty positive return so im not really that worried

i went ahead and resinged the corners because they will be part of the port which will be next to go in, then the top, and then finally the baffle. hopefully tomarow i will get it all sanded and painted black...i was thinking dark blue or red but i already have black pain lying around from my tweeter pods...
