well i can get it for $190 shipped from a reliable and trusted dealer with a 1 year warranty....granted it isnt a factory warranty but i have had to use the warranty on one of their products before and they honored it...

honestly, the only Vibe series that did its rated power (a bit underrated) is the vibe 1200d. Old lanzar amps were nice. Its ran by some, well who the hell knows what they're ran by now.
But if it comes with a warranty, at least its better than not having one at all. Can't say how long it'll last though.

No fiberglass reinforcement on the inside, why did you angle them straight out instead of slightly angled towards you? Just wondering imaging wise...

i still think u should have mounted them in a different spot tho, that location isn't the best, especially if you made them specifically to get better imaging -_-

RE's are so damn harsh, ive played around, im not looking for SQ top of the line imageing, but they are easier on the ears when they are reflaced agianst the windsheild, imageing is actually pretty good. and they are damn loud, i am scared of what is going to happen if i put 50w on these things...im getting 10RMS right now per chanel...i was going to buy a Cadence q3000 for $120 but i would rather have new, im looking at a cheaper profile amp. and when i designed them i took the swivle mount into account, they are only slightly pointed forward, so i could still swivle them all the way back to me for where they are pointed towards me but not directly on axis with my ears.

I guess you're just not used to it, or it's not balanced out enough. You're HU is zero-d out correct? I mean, I had 230rms per side going to my components, with no attenuation and it was DANDY! ;)

once agian you dont know WTF you are talking about. I had a cheap ass sony amp on them for a week or so to see how they sound, with an EQ they would be fine but they sound better TO ME aimed at the wind sheild when runnin them off of the HU. which is what they will be on for a while. i built them this way so that in the future if i wanted to tunr them around i could...
BTW, when i aim them at the windsheild it makes the music seem to come from the windsheild/dash, which i would rather have than coming from the doors... which is what they sound like when aimed towards me.

OK, I've been curious for a while now why you want an 18" sub in that little truck... The boxes required for those are huge, even sealed, and three 12" subs would have about the same output, right? I mean there's the obvious WOW factor of having a sub that big 4 inches behind you, plus you can get a couple Hz lower into the subsonic range. I'd just like to hear your reasoning.

My CDTs are like that too... when pointed at you at moderate volumes, the tweeters seem to overpower the woofers/sub, and end up sounding harsh. When bounced off the glass, it reduces the volume and blends in the high notes so it sounds balenced. I don't know if this is a audio illusion, but that's what seems is happening.

a sub stage ? now that's funny
bouncing the tweeters off the glass just increases the treble by increasing the near field reflections .... and it also smears the image

which part didn't you get ..... ?
a soundstage refers to how the intruments and voices are placed in front of you - sub bass is omnidirctional, so you're not gonna get much "stage" out of it
placing mids/tweets in close proximity to a hard surface will make them sound "bright" because the early reflections are so close to the actual sound. When you put tweeters facing the front glass, it tends to smear the image accross the dash.

there are a bunch of reasons....
-1- 3 12's cost more.... say 3 atlas 12's is $435, oh and would require mot airspace than an XXX 18....
-2- i was thinking 2 atlas 15's...but that required more airspace than a XXX 18 as well
-3-one of the bigger reasons i am going for a huge bass set up is to make the following shut up:
-4-Dubass friend who thinks 4 w1v2's are the end all set up for under 1500 total for subs
-5-Dumbass audio shop who beleives a w7 13 is the end all in loud and clean bass with out spending 10's of thousands
-6-Dumbass kids around my school who call me retarded when i tell them i can get a sub with better SQ than a w3v2 for around $200 and still get just loud
-7-Dumbass kids who, no matter what i show then, beleive that Adire and RE is nothing but flea market trash :cwm27:
as for substage, its wrong to call it that, but what i mean is the stage of speakers that reproduces subbass frequincies. :banghead:

Paul, what do you mean by smearing the image across the dash? for the most part insturment placement is general, not good by any means, being the poor acoustical properties of vehicles and me having only mediocure componets with the mids in the doors running off of a stock HU/POS amp. but if a symbol was meant to seem left-center it is pretty much left-center, not "smeared" across the dash.

it will "smear" the image because you getthe initial sound pulse plus all the pulses right after it (a few mS at most) boucing off of all the hard surfaces. It will be like having a main tweeter, and several tweeters around it located where the hard surfaces are, making it sound like a single sound is coming from multiple locations. So instead of a point surface, it is streched or smeared across a wide space.

well my pick would be an avalanche 15 but thats just me.
pick for what? my sub? ava is out of the question because of the 4ohm impeadece...and it is about $100 more than an SE 15.

Yeah, it's like $299 and then shipping... and it's quality probably isn't even as good as the XXX, which is what it's competing against.

they have great quality...a good compeditor for the XXX but Chad only makes htem SVC 4ohm with only 800w power handleing...where as the XXX is dual 2ohm (unless otherwise specified) and 1600w. thouhg the XXX is less efficent.

umm no the ava is dual 2 ohms too look on the website and they would suit my 900w rms amp nicely but ive seen two being run off 3000w rms before and very nicely.

Yeah, are you a dummy CB (oh...wait...) ;)
But ne ways, the AVA's are dual2's and to Dice...they ARE up to par with the XXX SQ wise...but the XXX will edge it out output wise ;)
Both are AMAZING woofers...
BTW, I'll be demo-ing the NEW Stereo Integrity D2 12 FOR FREE for about a week. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
