2003 LS Sport Coupe (brand new with 40-50 test drive miles on it), 5 speed, moonroof, XM radio, etc., you get the idea.
$12,700 including taxes and tags, etc., but before downpayment. The car stickered for about $18,400. I put $1000 down, so that helped even more. If I was planning to do big appearance mods (read, bodykit, etc.) I would have went with a base model which also has the Eco, and been out the door for less than $10,000. But I'm married, a father of 2 and wanted a good looking, peppy car with great gas mileage. I got my wish.

Yep! I turned down a 2003 with crank-ups and manual side mirrors for this "stray". I knew it was a special package of some sort. Plus I'd rather spend all Sunday afternoon shining up a Black exterior; all of the other cars on the lot were white. Either way dust looks like crap on the paint! :iceslolan

I just got an 88 Z24 Convertible, 2.8L, 5-speed. It was one of the cheapest cars in town at $1200. It has no rust, no dents or major scratchs adn the interior is excellent exept for a small spot on the drivers side floorboard.

92 4-door bought 5 yrs go with 108k on it - $1800
Got 192k on it now.
PLUS: off-road incident #1 - $800 repair suspension
off-road incident #2 - $200 bent a-frame and bought used Pontiac rims.
Overheated 1st motor - head gasket repair - $300
Overheated AGAIN - 2 weeks later - shaved head - $300 - this was 3 yrs ago, that motor lasted another 3yrs.
NEW: front rotors, alternator, shocks/struts, front hubs/bearings, glass pack, motor (w/90K installed $600), K&N air/oil filters, always use 1 qt Lucas on oil change w/5W-30 Castrol, and a R1 racing double-decker wing (looks killer!), can't remeber the rest of the sh!t I've had to fix.
Plus about $1000 in used audio equip, sounds GREAT, I have 8 speakers installed: 2 Blaupunkt 3.5 in front, 2 6.5 midbass drivers under seats, 2 JL 6x9 in rear, 2 12" Rockford Fosgate subs in bandpass box and an MTX 4 channel Amp guessing 400 Watts.

In all I've spent about $6000 keeping it together and running strong.

Plans: 59mm TB, manual trans, eSC, Venom Injectors, catless exhaust, newer model Cav 15" rims, and maybe a light NOS kit, just enough to make the air colder.

My first Cav - '94 RS, bought it in '97 for $6K. Two years later, hurricane Fran left the pecan tree from the back yard right down the middle, totalling it. Even though the body was totally destroyed, the guy from the junkyard forced the driver door open, put the keys in, cranked it up - then drove it up onto the flatbed!
My current Cav is a '94 Z24 that I bought for my daughter. Got it for $1000 last year - been trying to stop that d#$% leak from the cowl/firewall ever since. Everytime I fix on leak it finds another way in. My daughter's getting a bit impatient 'cause I've ripped out all the carpet and won't put the new carpet in until the leak is fixed.
I think I finally fixed it this last time - coated the entire cowl area under the hood with about 1/2" of silicon :D
