$950 for a 97 Cavalier 2.2L Convertible. It needed about a $1000 in fixer up stuff (brakes, tires, window motors, etc and I just did the head gasket after about 1000 miles. And the top needs replaced sometime here in the next year or so. But other then that, it's been a decent daily driver.

I bought a 91' Z24 6 months ago for $2,900.00 Canadian and it had 170km. It just had a new paint job, new gas tank, brakes, new plugs. It also has tinted windows and a 10 disc C.D. changer and dual exhaust. Was this a good deal or did I get ripped off. He was asking for 3,200.00!
The only thing that I've had to replace was the thermostat!

Sounds pretty expensive for Ontario for me. I found this on Auto trader in Toronto where 2nd hand cars go for a little bit more than out east there,

91 Z24, 3.1L, 2 dr., auto, A/C, ps, pb, pdl, tilt, cruise, CD, cert., e-test, mint condition, no rust, burgundy. 174 km. $1895.

But if you think it was worth the money then don't worry man!

BTW check out www.j-body.com < j-body club of Ontario.

I bought a 2001 Z24 at the end of September for $8,300 out the door. It had 62,000 miles on it and is in perfect shape. Sunroof, cd/cassette, all power, Silver with black/red interior.
Plan on tinting the windows to the legal limit (32% in Maryland I think) and getting some 18's. One question ya'll, when I buy rims, I'm thinking of either getting black or gun metal. What do ya'll think?

Talk bout bring something back from the dead, heck, this post was here before I was. Oh well, might as well add on.

03 Cavalier from grandfather with small scrapes from being on a farm. $4000 from my parents. Only reason we paid anything was cuz my cousin wanted it too, but he already had a crappy celica.

$2500 with 99900 miles on the car but an engine with 11,000 miles. Long story but friend's daughter in law blew the engine because of a bad mechanic's work. Friend got the car, put in a used engine from a wrecked Cavalier and I bought it...
