I was playing Gran Turismo 3 last night and was going to race a skyline I had just recieved and modded. It is a GT-R Vspec II and I had it up to 948hp. I went into the settings, adjusted accordingly and proceeded to begin. Im sorry, but anyone who says the Skyline handles like a dream is full of it. I hate that care hate hate HATE IT. Ive driven cars with more horsepower that handled better than that. Now, Im sure you could argue "well you didnt have your settings right" or "you're just a horrible driver." But, Ive won races on the same courses with different cars no problem. I Just dont think I will really ever use my skylines on anymore races.

i like it too, but i might have a different variation of it. i have an R34 Vspec R-tune and it rocks. plus the nismo 400R is awesome.

Give the GTR-R Vspec I (R34) a shot.. I got 1078 HP out of it... and lemme tell you.. it rocks!! But then again... it's a matter of individual opinion... :p By the way.. what do you use your car for?? Grip racing? Drifting? Speed racing? The different styles require different settings (as you know by now :))

Well in defense to J_Swigz, when you put that much power into the Skyline, it becomes very hard to handle. But after fine tweaking the car's settings and learning to handle car, you can get fast lap times from a fully tuned Skyline. I put too many hours playing the game (and that car) so I'm able to tame a fully-tuned R34.
Out of all the 4wd cars, the Skyline GTR does handle the best stock, I've noticed. Other cars, like the Evo's, handle like crap compared to the GTRs. If you choose to race a 4wd stock car, I definately recommend the GTRs instead of anything else.

Yeah, to much power in the Skyline is just dumb, it'll light up all 4 tires through 4 gears, making it damn difficult to control. I have an R34 with 1000Hp, but I like my R32 with 750-800 Hp much better, much more balanced car.

More idiots who like more power. I bet you, Swig, think a car with more power is invicenable. Your wrong. My 500Hp Clio Racer can take your 1,000Hp Cars anyday on a circuit.

Depends on the length of the track and the length of the race. Isn't the Clio sport a FWD drive car? Say goodbye to your tires after one or two laps at 500 HP.

Its Mid-Engine Rear Wheel drive, kid.

i agree the clio can beat any big power car. although the 1100 hp ruf rgt is impressive in it's own rights. i am not sure if the way mine is tuned if could beat the clio's times

i love the skyline R34. i also really like my R33. how can you not love smoking the tires in 3rd gear? to be honest. that car is one of my favorite's to just test drive. i had problems too w/ the handling. i think i changed the drivetrain and it got alot better. i may have also changed the suspension a little bit. just work w/ it. have fun w/ that beast.

Read the Skyline 1040bhp? thread. I'll tell you exactly how to improve 948bhp.

well i really like my R32 right now, it's definetly a great handling car wtih the stock suspension. right now i'm running it with only 400 HP and i'm wining races left and right (i'm doing Arcade right now if you wanted to know) but even in a lot of other races i'm kickin ass. the GT-R 34 is a very nice rally car, but i don't know what my settings are right now, i do know that i have 1037 HP in it
i tend to use less HP than the maximum on a lot of my cars, they just seem to handle better

agreed..i love that thing to fucking death...very nice with it's short wheel-base, fairly light weight and killer mr setup (i think it's mr...but i havent driven it in ages)...i can take out gt class cars with it...easily lol

the only thing i dont like is how fast it goes through tires...much like the ruf 3200 s...they love to eat their tires very quickly when you push them hard...

wow, it's been a while since I read this thread, seeing as it's creeping up on it's year old mark in November. Oh, and the civic comment? Kiss my ass.:thefinger.

I've since solved my problems with the skyline and now use it regularly, so to all of you who gave me shit, please take a flying leap.

I agree with J_Swigz. I really do hate the skyline. it's a bad car. poor handling and it's relatively slow
