The rear spoiler on the escort isn't good, you can make a other one.
I have made a mould and then a new spoiler in resin.

Boreham was kind enough to send me a clear picture of the firewall and point out how much different it is from the kit.

I was able to make some improvement with some careful sanding. So now we have this.

Following Kimmo's advice I also removed the braces at the front of the shock towers. However I only reduced the size of the supports near the firewall. I didn't want take the chance of sanding through to find them hollow and then needing to do a lot of putty repair.
So we went from this to this.

The radius rods are complete. After mocking them up I discovered that the channel I created in the floor plan was not deep enough. Under full compression of the suspension the rods would hit against the floor pan. I am currently modifying them to make them deeper.

The swage lines are a panel strengthening feature. Not Fuel tank.
The Fuel tank is mounted separately on the boot floor above the rear axle with the filler not visible with the boot shut.

Thanks Boreham. I am aware that on the competition cars the fuel cell is fully inside the boot along with the oil tank, battery, spare wheel etc. I assumed, maybe incorrectly that this recess on the production cars holds the fuel tank. Haven't yet decided if I want to recreate this detail.

with the exception fo the rear firewall removed (behind back seat) this is an orignal boot.
the Fuel tank is on the right hand side as we look at it here and the opposite side of the boot to the fuel tank the spare wheel is kept in a vertical position.

The kit provides no head light detail. It has you gluing the lenses directly to the flat surface of the grill surround. So I ordered Reji's resin trans-kit as well as the photoetch set. The resin kit provides a head lamp bucket. Strange thing is the resin part it too large to fit inside the photoetch grill so I had the make my own.

Hi
I did use the kit radiator as a base (there is not much left). I made the top and bottom end of the radiator using evergreen plastic strip , and for radiator it self is crazy modelER radiator etch.
The cap i found Ford Escort etch set, made By fellow modeller here in Finland.

I can't see your first pic sorry.
Are you sure they are different ?
you have to look at front rim on tamiya model, rear one is different for sure, but front one really seems exactly like your reference pic in previous post (of course except the central hub - originaly motorized model). :dunno:
but I'm not the specialist like you seem to be...

No, I'm not insisting but...
(I'm really interesting in knowing if these rims can match as I could need this solution too)

Oh yes thanks I see the pic now.
Mmm tamiya rim is partialy wrong as it's neither the first one nor the second one !!
I checked the rim in my Tamiya box in fact it's close to your last pic, but hub edge is too large on tamiya rim.
sure it's not the perfect match for you first linked pic, but if you reduce a bit the hub edge, enlarging space hole between spokes as it has to be, and fill the hub to erase its edge, you should get something matching your targeted rim.
but it's only my :2cents:

Kimmo, I am paying to have the Gr.4 Minilites designed, 3d printed then resin cast. If you are willing to pay the costs I am sure Fireball Modelworks would be happy to make them.

The wheel in Mk1's picture is correct. AFX: please note the detail in the centre area, the holes for the bolts never cut in to the spokes like that.

I am designing a tarmac wheel which is very different from the gravel wheel.

I am designing a tarmac wheel which is quite different from the gravel wheel.
AFX, these rims are used on gravel too

AFX is correct for this matter. Again different rim , and correct one.
