Can someone say, definitively, are the various P1 engine/system noises 'enhanced' in any way - e.g. by playing additional noise through the hi-fi speakers?
I quite liked the noises it makes (contrary to my expectations), though perhaps there are too many different noises to take in initially.
I am though very much against artificially generated noises and to be honest it sounded a little too contrived, though perhaps they are not.

650S ISG is configurable via the cluster menu. When you switch from N to S to T on Powertrain using the active panel the sound is then set to that configuration. IIRC you can set it to 0 in all modes.
The P1 has ESG which is not configurable, I have just had a quick look through the menu on a car and the manual and cannot see anything about the ISG so I am not sure if it is fitted but not configurable or just not fitted! I shall ask the guys in powertrain!

Neither the ISG or ESG are adjustable by the owner, but both are fitted. :)

Can you say how those sound generators work? Do they take real sounds from the car and pipe them into the cabin, if so, how - mechanically, electronically or what? The more gory detail, the better. Thanks.

AFAIK this is one of the two that are staying - the other one isn't far away from being here either. Couldnt see the chassis number, and they wouldn't tell me :(

I was told this was a car from the factory brought over for the show. Not a customer car. Reason it wasn't on display in 'Race Mode' was that certain modes had been disabled...
Regardless, amazing car in person and certainly can't wait to see one again!! The detail and thought put into it is just incredible.

Sorry - my German is very limited - are you saying that having had the cars at Hockenheim they have not included any lap times in the article? Does it give any reason for that?
(other than the assumption that one or more of the manufacturers banned them from doing so)

Apparently this is the third different dealership that car has appeared at. I know AutoSalonSingen was one of the others.
Hopefully it finds itself a good home - great looking spec I think. :cool:
