Quote:
Welcome to the AF Car Modeling

Mazda Meet

This meet is for viewing and posting Mazda models. Road or track, tuned or stock, old school rotaries to modern MX-5s- all Mazdas are welcome here. Members are welcome to add their own builds to the meet!

Please post only pictures and descriptions of your own completed builds. Also please refrain from adding irrelevant posts, such as "cool build!", "where can I get this kit?", and "keep them coming, let's see more!". This meet will be scrubbed of all non-gallery posts, and posts with nonfunctional pictures.

Please post your best pics of your build, say what the build is of and the kit(s) you used, and include links to any in progress or completed threads.

For posting guidelines, and to see other model meets, please see here.
Post you Mazdas!

Added modified ITR body parts and Hoppin Hydros Bellagios to the Tamiya kit.

Box stock Monogram kit.

Haven't built a '93-up version yet.

12A rotary with custom turbo installation and EFI setup. (It's a work in progress, about 80% complete)

Still needs a bit more interior work, some finishing touches in the engine bay, and a coat of gloss. Beyond that it's about done.

Two RX7's

First up: Monogram's excellent Mazda RX7 kit. It's better than Tamiya's. Has full detail, and is unique in that it's a base model car w/alloys. Fun, easy kit to build and detail. I built this about 6 years ago, I built two of them identically. A client wanted a model built of this exact car, what I did was build two of them at the same time, because I wanted one too. Saved time, and no regrets over giving a car away, regardless of being paid for it.

Second up: 1986 Mazda RX7 Turbo
This is a semi-restored kit. I started out w/my original Tamiya RX7 that I painted in gold and used aftermarket gold BBS rims on, and robbed it of it's interior, rear glass, engine, and taillights. I then took a fresh kit, added Integra front spoilers (customized front and stock rear for the rear skirt), and some custom side skirts from a Q45 kit. Covered w/Tamiya pure white, and wheels are Hoppin' Hydro's Belaggio's.
