Talking Tamiya/Con 2002 *PICS*

Wow...

I'll add more commentary later. Here are pics!

Tamiya's Showoom Display cases (both sides):

To be fair, that's two pics on either side of the same case. There were plenty of Tamiya kits I could think of that weren't there... But still...

New Products Table:

My pic of the new Astra didn't come out; sorry! :o

Display of Past Tamiya/Con Winners:

Including a Mythos... A popular car, I guess...

Factory cars:

Stupid blurry camera! The wheels on this S2K looked SOOOOO good; I swear they looked like photoetch, but the builder said they were plastic...

Race Cars:

Formula Cars:

There were more F1 cars, mainly F2000s, but blurry pics again! :o

Box Stock kits:

Modified kits:

Real cars outside:

Man, next year I am so bringing something to enter in the competition! :coolguy:

Thanks for that Jay, some serious picture posting going on there!
Shame you can't take pictures though!

Not sure about some of the models they were building! Rally 350Z?

Nice event though! Wish we had something like that round here!

In light of that I would like to start the "Jay Needs a Digicam Fund." Please send donations to jay@automotiveforums.com.

:right:

I really liked the rally 350Z. It was done really well.

The guy who did the PreviaGT-One said he was working to finish it the night before!

I tell you what!

I'll go ½'s with you...

You and I can buy one each of exactly half of Tamiyas model kit stock, then spend the next 200 years building them to the same standard as those on display at TamiyaCon.

In (ooh, I dunno) 2202 we can fill your garage (coz *I* don't have one) with the models using planks of wood and cling film to make display cabinets, then charge admission to see them...

No?

I didn't think so, but I had fun putting the plan together...

Regards
Mark
