I'm starting on a 67' Mustang GT and figured I would do a WIP on it since it's an important model to me.
Story Here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=968663 Here's the car I'm making ![]() I will be purchasing a trans-kit from Motor City Resin soon. ![]() but for now I'm working on the donor car. AMT 67' fast back. From this car I am taking the chassis, most of the interior, motor, wheels, etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() Wheels (not exactly like the real ones, but close enough) ![]() Interior (have to wait for the trans-kit for the door panels) ![]() ![]() ![]() I plan on putting seat belts, just need to buy them. More to come in the next week. Thanks for looking, Coments/Suggestions welcom. ![]() |

Re: 67' Mustang GT
Those magnum wheels are quite common in most everyone's parts boxes with better tires than what AMT provided you in that kit. Just post up a "wanted" ad in the classified and people will help you out. If I had access to my parts bin, I'd give you the hookup, for the price of postage, but it would take me a year to dig out my parts bin.

The project will be delayed for a while.
![]() I placed my order for the '67 trans-kit from Motor City Resin tonight, but soon after, I recieved an E-mail from the owner saying he has had alot of orders for that model and needs to re-cast more of them. Also said it could be several weeks for my order to be sent. May not even be here before Christmas. This sucks since its suppose to be a Christmas present for my brother. ![]() I guess he will just have to take it late. |

Re: 67' Mustang GT
Looks nice, maybe instead of paint try using baremetalfoil thats found in most local hobby stores. Little harder to work with, but results are great. And if you mess up you can always take it off, with paint you have to strip it. Your choice, also theres a tutorial here on af.
