Citroen Xsara WRC from Heller + Tamiya elements

Hello AF Community,

At first time let me show you my recent kit Citroen Xsara. I am fond of ralling and collecting rally cars from Tamiya and Hasegawa. I purchased this kit few years ago and basic quality of this kit was upset me much.
Big problems of this kit are tyres, underbody trim etc. Body is quit good.
first of all i deside to change car to tarmac version using tamiya brakes and weels. But it was not brilliant idea.

Sudenlly i found in my details store parts from Peugeot 206 WRC. This was a good idea to combine Tamiya underbody and roll cage with Hellerbody.

Pics with some updating.

Front and rear lamps were inserted. Also I deside to change side windows. Standart front and rear keep in model.



Few comments regarding the most interesting issue – underboby and suspension. Wheels were tooken from Subaru kit.
Photos after assembling
Because the wheel base of Citroen and Peugeot different I extended it. In this case I slightly change front suspension cradle and moved rear suspension few millimeters behind.
Also underbody skid plates and fuel tank were added.




Also rear bumper cover panel was constructed.



At present moment the completely assembled at 70%.
I should finish interior and some exterior details.





Regarding the version I would like to assembling test-version of season 2004. First I deside to build 2006 J. Tuohino or Sordo car but I did not find decals for this items.

Thanx for offer. PE parts will be essential for this kit. Regarding decals i don't want to repaint body and try to focus on searching decals to red body paint.

You have done unbelivable work!!! Your kits are amaizing. It is quite work to do...
I will use your WIPs as a reference. By the way you show some improvemts of body around the wheels. It was also necessary to done?

On later Citroens of an arch of wheels became wider:


I have made arches a bit more widely and have changed the form.
