Resin Audi R8 gt3

I could swear someone on here had posted pics of a resin R8 GT3, but after 2 days of searching, come up with nothing! Was I dreaming? Or does anyone have any info?

Thank's for that little tidbit. I couldn't remember who was doing it. I kept thinking it was scaleproduction. Found it on Kevin's site.

The person who originally posted it spammed some ones thread with it, and he was banned, and the photos were deleted.

I hope that price is wrong....that's ridiculously too high.

Agreed wholeheartedly. No wonder Fisher can't keep up with the demand for his elegantly simple, yet outstanding resin kits for under $100 each, and produced in California, not in a country with wages that are a fraction of California.

Re: Resin Audi R8 gt3

I agree. I had thought there was more to this kit than what is at stake. The body isn't much more modified than the R8 already. And the wheels and cage can easily be stolen. But I'm lazy. But not $245 lazy.

Ditto. I could deal w/just the body and components for it. But it seems when you ask an aftermarket company for a simpler product, it's like talking to a wall. I've run into that attitude with a couple of well-known purveyors of aftermarket stuff when I've asked/suggested that they could sell smaller frets of P/E or just a wheel set instead of an entire (overpriced) transkit. Getting brush-off answers like "our customers demand the highest quality" and "you aren't giving all the fine people who are involved with getting my fine products to market enough credit". One of these sellers hasn't had a new product in a long time and is crying that they aren't doing much of any business. But a new product idea that's a little simpler than their norm? Something that they already have the artwork for, just needs a quick production run? They won't hear of it. Okay...

Sometimes I wonder if it's me or them that's on the wrong planet.

But then again, I did turn my nose up at $300 recently for one of my very unfinished models.

Irony much?

Even $145 would be to much for what's offered.

Re: Resin Audi R8 gt3

Can't Revell sew them for re-casting a Revell body? Or is the fee included in this kit?

In euro's this kit would be the same price as with other resin full kits. But this is just a cheap kit with a reworked revell body... Shame.. Hoped for a cheaper price or with at least a race version decal set instead of a presentation decal option...

I might sound like a El Cheapo to them, but I have spent a lot of cash, really a lot! (50 to 60 GT1 kits as largest part of my collection and they aint all tamiya/revell, not even 50% And that for a student), on my kit collection, but this is not fully worth my money. I slack S27 for limmited cockpit detail in their GT1 kits, but this is even worse in my opinion for this kind of price.

It looks nice, don't get me wrong, but a bit too expensive, even with the current kit price market
