Schnitzer BMW 635 CSi Winner 24h Spa 1984
This is a project done 3 years ago.
I took the Fujimi Hi Grade kit and the Tamiya decals. The rest is scratch. First i let you see how i scratch the open doors. I also change the brake discs with real center screw. Some pics of the chassis and cockpit. Now the almost finished car. Now its complete with some more details and Marc Surer as a driver figure. Regards Roger |

Re: Schnitzer BMW 635 CSi Winner 24h Spa 1984
That is an amazing build. I have the Tamiya kit a couple of boxes down in my to do stack. I was worried about the color of the decals being so off-white, but after seeing yours, I'm not so worried about it now. Of course mine will be built out of box, but it is great to have such a good looking build for insporation. Can you recommend a source for some photos of the real car? I've not had much luck in my searches.

The chassis is amazing and the weathering really compliment all the details. We have an old 7 series in my household and having recently taken a look in the engine bay, yours looks fantastically real. The diorama is simple but works well. I'm wondering what happened to the passenger side window though.

Re: Schnitzer BMW 635 CSi Winner 24h Spa 1984
I know this one from somewhere... Nevertheless - this one amazes me everytime I see it.
The detailing is beyond me and the whole presentation is outstanding. I wish, I´d had this kit but then again I wouldn´t be able to match this result. You set the bar for all the Schnitzer BMW´s being built in the future. Robert

Incredible detail and well executed build. The driver putting on the balaclava is a nice touch. Well done.

Re: Schnitzer BMW 635 CSi Winner 24h Spa 1984
So realistic. Unbelievable really.
I started this car a long time ago, but never got round to finishing it. Shame I threw it away... Perfectly executed. I really like the weathering of the underside. Looks very realistic and race worn. |
