69€ is not too much for such a nice transkit IMO - and don't forget that you pay only 10-12 USD for the base kit, which we pay 15-20 EUR for over here. The "high" price overseas is mainly due to the (strong Euro / weak Dollar) exchange rate and shipping cost. Not really the manufacturer's fault, is it? Looking back at the days when the dollar was (a lot) stronger than the Deutsche Mark / Euro, we had to pay a fortune for any kit we ordered from the US. If you really want to have something you need to ask yourself whether it is worth to spend an (admittedly sometimes considerable) amount of money for it. A friend of mine received this kit last week and I had a chance to look at it. The quality is absolutely flawless, e.g. spotless and very clean resine parts. I would say well worth the price one pays for it. Shell out a bit more and have a grin on your face when you open the box... or buy a cheaper kit (if available) and moan about the quality while cleaning excess flash and filling bubbles with putty. I wonder why people never complain about prices for Japanese resine kits / transkits? |

Re: Scale Production elanor kit!!!
Thanks sportracer and voyageur for that extra info/insight on it. I had found only the pics on StradaSport site without any info. I will definitely get one. It certainly looks worth the price, being so clean(looking) with all the photo etch and rims/tires included.

I'm quite impressed with it and I feel it's worth the money.

Re: Scale Production elanor kit!!!
I will buy this transkit, but I wonder if anyone can post box photos or product codes of the kit needed to do the conversion...
Thanks! ![]() |

Re: Scale Production elanor kit!!!
its for the AMT 67 Mustangs. there's a GT and Shelby. I'm guessing they both should work since a body is included in the resin kit, but I'd get the Shelby kit just to be safe
its actually a very nice kit, and the transkit fixes the only issue with it. the front and rear fascia fit. it was tooled up in the mid 90's when AMT was producing some nice kits. not the crap they tooled up under RC2 there's a few kit numbers for the 67 Mustang, there may be more but these are the recent ones AMT 38509 (Fast and Furious GT) AMT 38492 (Stock Shelby) AMT 31550 (stock GT) ![]() ![]() ![]() DO NOT get the AMT 1968 Shelby. that one will not work, nor will the upcoming Revell 68 Mustang GT. Eleanor was a 67 |

Re: Scale Production elanor kit!!!
the only difference between these two kits pictured above are
1. the first kit comes with a different hood, as pictured in the box AND the hood from stock version(the same hood as the other kit) 2. the first kit comes with a nissan engine, as well as the stock engine 3. different seats, don't know if the originals are still included. 4. differend tires and rims, they are too big and too thin. almost unusable. I think the original wheels are still in the box anyway. so, if you need a nissan rb26 and a ford 289, get the first one ![]()
