Wink It's A "WRAITH" MAN!!!! The M4S Turbo Interceptor Build!!!

"WRAITH" Turbo Interceptor Build!!!!
Welcome one and all to my first Attempt to build the "WRAITH" Movie car in 1/25 from a AMT Jag-XJ220. I may not get it just right but let's see if I can come close.

I though of using the Revell GTP wheels but they would need to be modified. So I passed on the and found these Fujimi BBS wheel and they had just the right look and the rear wheels are deep like the real car as well as close to the right size as the 1:1 car. Just one thing there 4 lug I'm going to cut on the 4 lugs and add 5 lug style by using thin rod styrene.

Here's some shots of the "WRAITH" car sorry for the size.

I shortined the nose and re-shaped the hood., an put in an air vint made from brass mesh.

Ok at this time I have glued the hood on and I have stated slopping on all the putty. I have the BBS wheels painted gold and more of the body work has bean done, next I need to let it dry and sand the top of the rear so I can glue on the rear wing and fill in the gaps around it.

In these shots I made a drawing of were the head lights will be and the lower air opening will be also.

I know the car is not just like the real car but I just want to have fun trying it.

I think you made a good choice of the XJ220 for a base as it has good detail to to go with your body work. It does look to me that the wraith car is a modified Pontiac Firebird but, I could be wrong.

You got a good start keep it up!,

Cool, your building all my favorite movie cars. That's awesome. Here is a site that I came across awhile back, might help you out. The car was a Dodge which surpirsed me because I always thought it had more GM design too it.

Re: It's A "WRAITH" MAN!!!! The M4S Turbo Interceptor Build!!!

Rod k2 your right I do love movie cars. Sorry you all for not getting back sooner on this project. I had to stop work on it as I have ran in to a wall. I need well first let me show you all the some what new images of the car so far and tell you a little bit about what I did then I'll tell you what went rong.

Ok were to start. Oh ok one thing I just hated to do was cut out the holes for the head-lights. As I look at images of the movie car you realy done see them all that well, as there tinted I may go back and fill them in. After finding all the little dips and holes in the dryed putty and after filling them in here's the frount of the car.

Some side views:

I need to go back and add to the top of the rear wheel opening it's shaped rong. I think the rear came out well though.

One thing I have all wased wanted to get right is making new lines and I think I did ok for my first try at it.

Now about the engine and what I'm going to keep add and what must go.
First I removed the XJ220 on the valve covers, moved the two turbos away from the valve coves and on to the sides. Oh and I reshaped the air filters for the turbos. I dont have a movie shot of the image of the engine from the movie to post yet but I'm going to use some part from the movie and add the item to my build like the weard pink light and lightning. I know some of you may say how will I pull this off I have a friend here that I going to help me with that and after I get it to work and if it's ok with him I show you all how to do this on a project of your own.

So far every ting was going ok till I was looking up a clear pink paint and I can't fiend any and I don't like the nose on the car I'm going to make the frount slope a bit more with out the head lights. I'm going to keep trying to get some type of clear pink paint for my LED. Oh that's what I was thinking of tell you all I'm going to use 3 and not just one to light up the engine bay and I have some Opics that I will add to help make the bay look even cooler.

Oh well well looky what I found that image this is the image of the engine from the movie.

I plan on using that top box shape and some of the othere item to make my bay look better.
So what do you all think? An if any one in the US know of any Company that sales clear pink paint put up a link please.

Re: It's A "WRAITH" MAN!!!! The M4S Turbo Interceptor Build!!!

Well what's up with this build, I droped the build once I moved on to Military modeling. An at the time I wanted to add lighting to the model and did not have a LAD light but I do know so once I get the light to work and shoot some new photos I will post all the new info soon.
