Spark-plug Seals
Remove COP cover,COP's,spark-plugs, and do a visual inspection.
Are COP Spark plug boots covered in oil or a rust residue ? Oil or water could short a COP & cause misfires. The Spark plug boss seals will age and leak oil, or rain water rolling into COP cover can cause COP's to short out.. ** Watch your oil viscosity + Don't overflow, because too much oil pressure will blow oil seals. Check your own oil after service, the book has 6.9 quarts of oil not 7. Last edited by danielsatur; 10-18-2009 at 05:25 PM. |
