Comments: The philosophy behind the F1 road car was simple - to be the finest driver's car ever built. This meant producing a car not only with outstanding performance but one as versatile and usable as an everyday vehicle. The McLaren F1 benefits from extensive Formula One technology and experience. It is the worlds first production road car to feature an all carbon fiber monocoque and body structure. This unique material combines the low weight necessary for performance with exceptional strength to exceed industry safety requirements. McLaren commissioned the BMW S70/2 engine, designed and built specifically for the F1. This 6.1 litre, quad-cam, 48-valve V12 power unit produces no less than 627 bhp and propels with F1 through a six-speed gearbox. The F1 includes many radical design features such as: a central driving position, "ground-plane shear" suspension geometry, intelligent brake cooling, and fan-assisted ground-effect aerodynamics. In March 1998, the F1 confirmed it was the fastest production car in the world, achieving a record top speed of 240.14mph. Only 100 McLaren F1s were built.

Wow, I wonder why he's selling. Especially wanting to know why the F1 and Enzo?

It could just be a feeler. He has a close relationship with this dealer from what I have heard. His garage that we saw photos of recently is only a few blocks away from them. He could also be doing them a favor by allowing them to list some very desirable cars to attract attention to the dealership. You never know...

You would think he'd keep the McLaren, it's in a gorgeous color and looks perfect. Bummer. Thanks Peloton for posting the info though.

Consider it SOLD as soon as I win powerball tonight. I love that color on the F1.

Sorry bro, I already won it in 4 hours from now (I know the grammar doesn't sound right)

Erik, interesting theory about bringing in customers. I can see how that would work and it makes a lot of sense considering his location to the dealership...

Change the interior color and reset that raised rivet and I'll take it! Hmmm, now where are those leather swatches I had around here...
Gawd that thing's gorgeous!

They always seem to take pictures of all there cars in that same exact parking spot. I would love to own one. The people at the Dupont Registry must be slow because I told them that I was looking for an F1 and I got an e-mail saying they'd e-mail me when one appeared.

That's right across the street from the dealership on Pageant Way. I've been there before - I think it's a library right across the street from them with that large grassy area in the background of most of their photos.

I had a good friend who lived in Los Gatos back when this dealer was still an official Ferrari store. It's a nice dealership, but it is rather small.

yep your right. About a year ago they purchased a building across the street as a third show room. They use it for all the rolls and lambo's.
