Thumbs up Corette C5-R Lemans 2004 Transkit -by Scale Production- Kit Review

Hi folks,

as already mentioned in another thread: I got the C5-R 2004 transkit for the 2004 Lemans version:

Here some pics:

resin body, open hood, separate front

best quality resin

new rear wing, cooler, engine parts

decals

etched parts, window surrounding, mesh

new wheels, super brakes -much details-

turned aluminium oil reservoir and shocks; spings for the shocks; screws and nuts for wheels; ribbon for seat belts; air jack valves, .....

The last pic shows so many parts, that it is a must to built the car without engine cover and wheels off.

Hi,

@ corydos63: What do you mean: "since june" ??? Scale Production exists since years and their quality you can compare to Studio 27, (higher than Reji :-)) )

@ GvEman: I donīt know when I will start this kit, but a friend of mine -an excellent modeler- starts building it in these days. I hope I can post some of his pics to see, how the transkit works

@ aeroace and Petrick: Look at my pics and compare it f.e. with the Renaissance transkit for the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 evo 2 (No. 24/205) -I possess this transkit, too - ( http://www.mafma.com/liste.php?Marqu...otsclef=tk24_2)
for 61 Euro - less parts, no body - anybody who say the price is too high????

I want to say that scaleproduction make up is quality of molded....
I've got the redbull modena transkit, and the resin parts are not in good quality, the rims are not round!!!!

I'm a customer of this label , scaleproduction make an excellent job, especially since june, whith the new tk he make
the murcielago and the c5r, and, don't forget the 550 tk to reproduce three different cars....

Hi corydos63,

did you see: in the building plan for the Red Bull Modena transkit you find a remark, that the wheels and the frontspoiler are original items of Renaissance. Scale Production bought them and just filled them in the transkit parts bag.

Somehow strage: You never hear such critics from people buying Renaissance.

A few month ago I ordered the Renaissance Ferrai 360 transkit with the complete body. This was so wrapped that I had to give it back to get a new one. This second body was wrapped again and I had to order a third one to get moderate quality.

Since 2 weeks I have a new computer and must search the photo of the wrapped body. If I find it I will post it here.

I want to say that scaleproduction make an effort on quality, I 've got an explanation for the wheels.....
I want to say that, for exeample, the golf tk available from scaleproduction, is update in june, and a lot of these tk are modified .
He make the quality up that's all, and it's a good thing for us
