Oxidization
While coming back from the store today, I noticed a very very small spot on my paint that's beginning to oxidize. As we all know, once it starts, it'll spread very quickly. Is there anything I could do to prevent it from spreading any further? It's not bad yet, but I know it could get bad very quick...ugh....

You NEED to polish that spot ASAP...and then put either your favorite wax or sealant on it to protect it. The best advice that I can give you is to start here
If you have a spot that is heavily oxidized, I would start off with something like this . If you have any questions on how to polish your paint, then i would take advantage of the detailing how-to section , specifically the how to poish paint section . If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. |

Re: Oxidization
okay, if it's small all you really need to do is sand it down and spray on some primer/protective from a can (like spray paint primer/rustoleum or something from Autozone). That'll keep it safe for a while until you can really sand it down and repaint/reprimer it. No need to buy any of that guy's products he's advertising for.

Re: Oxidization
Yeah, the spots are really small at this point and I do not want it to "expand/grow." Would one of those 3 step process work? http://www.mothers.com/products/prod...paintprod.html (all the way at the bottom)

Re: Oxidization
all you really need is a spray can of primer, from like rustoleum... can get it for cheap, just spray that on after you sand it down, that'll protect it for a while... I've used some stuff that turns black and eats away the oxidation, but I forget what it is.
