How is the idle normally? In most cases it can be a ignition problem but if you guys already looked into that, then my next guess would be a dirty throttle body. If not that, check the ECT Engine Coolant Temperature sensor, this has been known to shut the car off out of no where. Also check the ISC valve (Idle Speed Control Valve) Hopefully the following will help.

Good Luck,
Calvin

Check EGR valve for carbon deposits.

If you have not cleaned the EGR before, there is a good chance that is your EGR.
If cleaning the EGR does not solve your problem, the ECT might be the problem.
good luck

Replaced the EGR valve, cleaned ISC Valve - $600. Did not check the ECT... however, stalling seemed to stop after first 2 things were done... if occurs again, will check ECT...
thanks, Calvin!
